I bought a different carburetor for my Stihl FS 55R string trimmer. I spent an hour trying to get it work. After being soaked in sweat, I sent an email to the seller of that carburetor and they were kind enough to refund my money.After buying this carburetor, my experience was totally different. I installed it, started the string trimmer, it was perfectly tuned and humming just like brand new. I can’t believe how easy it was. So much better than my other experience. Thank you so much, it works great.

I used this product on my stihl fs 45c unlike some of the reviews, mine was not in tune out of the box, but after running every screw in (gently) and turning 1 and 3/4 - 2 full turns out on everything that got me a good starting point to were it would fire atleast, and I was able to tune it from there and after maybe 45 mins total it now works great (atleast for the moment) now the one thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is the h and l screws are NOT marked. So if your new to tuning carbs like I am that could be a BIG issue, especially since it's such a little detail to add to their casting. If I were the manufacturers I would seriously consider adding that detail. Other than that, good job, amazing bang for buck, saved me from buying a rebuild kit for my old carb.

This is about as simple as it can get. Before this carb, my Stihl FS55R trimmer would not start no matter how many times I tried. Removed the original carburetor and installed this one (less than 5 minutes) and on the 3rd pull it started. I did have to make a minor adjustment on the high side and the idle but it works great now. Would highly recommend.

I just recieved my part. I ordered it for the STIHL FS55r trimmer. The trimmer would not start and run. After cleaning the old Carb I just decided to buy a new one. This one was nice and CHEAP ! As soon as I put this on - it ran and stayed running. One of the comments says the gas lines ( or something like that) are plastic. They are not on mine, they are brass and appear to be solid. This item was a great purchase and it performed as expected ! Glad to have my trimmer back!

I have a Stihl MM55 which has always been temperamental since I owned it for about 15 years. Finally after paying a local repair shop I decided to buy a new carb on E-bay. It did not work any better. Even though this was not advertised for the MM55 mini-cultivator I was skeptical. I put it on and it is just unbelievable. Machine start in 3 pulls and works better than the day I bought it. I did not have to make a single adjustment idle, high mix and Lo Mix were perfectly set. You should add MM55 to your list of machines this works on.

I have to squirt gas down in the carburetor to get it to start, then it runs fine! I probably should have said this earlier, but life got in the way!

Older string trimmer (20+ years) with a single screw carb that need a small cut of the screw guards in this carb to fit past the air cleaner. Once installed an IMMEDIATE improvement in starting and idling resulted.
