Not bad quality for a costume piece.
It's a lightweight metal alloy they've used for this. the badge weighs nothing at all. it does have a nice golden hue though and the design is picked out in brown enamel giving it a vaguely vintage look. You'd never mistake this for an authentic Sheriff's badge though. If you want that look for something made from brass, pay a bit more. This is literally fancy-dress party level. The sort of thing you won't mind losing as you conga round the garden after chugging down a party seven. This is kid's dressing-up box level quality. Nice, but not good enough for Wild West fan convention cosplay.
