Worth Every Penny
I spent a lot of time looking around Amazon for an electric toilet seat/bidet and I kind of got into "analysis paralysis" with all of the choices, the different prices, all of the different features, and all of the positive and negative reviews. I knew going with Kohler was somewhat of a safe bet because I have a few of their other products and the quality seems to be good. Basically, I knew I wanted an electric toilet seat with a bidet with a seat heater, electric deodorizer, and with warm water. I also knew I did NOT want a toilet seat with a remote controller (seriously, why do you need a remote to control something you are literally sitting on?). I found this bidet to be fairly easy to install. I have almost zero plumbing experience, so I was thankful for that. The seat controls are VERY easy to figure out. Everything is pretty self-explanatory. The deodorizer is...ok. It's not the greatest, but it's WAY better than a bidet that doesn't come with one. I love that the toilet seat has an automatic light that turns on at night. I like that it is self-cleaning. I love that the seat is always warm. *One thing to note is that the bidet does not have a connection to your hot water source.* This was actually a POSITIVE selling point for me, because I didn't want to have to drill a hole in my cabinet to get to the sink connections. This means, however, that even if you set the bidet water to the warmest setting, is not going to be warm right away. It does warm up very quickly (I'm talking seconds), though, and I have had no issues with it. The electrical cord doesn't reach too far. My bathroom outlet is right next to the toilet, but it is on TOP of the counter, not below it (I feel like this is how most bathrooms are). So I was disappointed that the cord does not reach that far, however, I got an inexpensive 3-pronged extension cord and that solved the problem. Ultimately, I've had this toilet seat / bidet for about 3 months now and I still love it. Guests love it too! For what fancy bidets are going for these days, I think this is absolutely worth it.

Wonderful addition to my bathroom
I absolutely love this bidet. Classic looking. It's great at night when I can't really see where I'm going. You can look into the bathroom area and see the toilet is lit up blue. It's great to get there in one piece and not fall on my way to the bathroom. The seat warms up wonderful. I absolutely loved it this past winter. It cleans and gets the job done and you feel refreshed. I highly recommend this item. It's not too hard to set up on your own either. My husband did have to put in an outlet down in the corner of the toilet but it all worked out. The only drawback that I can see is the little rubber part that's underneath the toilet cover . That keeps falling off. So I've decided to forgo that and leave it off. Maybe a little super glue might help to keep it in place...not sure.

2 Thumbs Up for Kohler Bidet Seat
New to using a bidet and didnโt want to spend for complete bidet toilet that if I didnโt like would cost me a significant amount of money plus the cost of taking it out and replacing with a regular toilet. The solution is just buying the bidet seat and decided on this Kohler because of the their years of experience with the bidet seat. My conclusions is it works grrrreeeaat! I canโt imagine a total bidet toilet could be any better. Easy to install but you do need a wall socket close to the toilet, easy for an electrician to install the wall socket. The bidet seat is very easy to install and easy to use. Lots of great features, including: heated seat, water temperature control, choice of water spray direction, deodorizer fan, drying fan, cleaning features and more. Using a bidet is easy and an improvement on personal hygiene. Iโve been using this Kohler bidet seat for 3 months so canโt comment on the life of this unit but it being a Kohler and the reviews Iโm expecting years of pleasurable use. If there is any problem Kohler has a good help line and many plumbers know this unit for repair. If it couldnโt be fixed they are so cost effective Iโd just replace it with the same bidet seat. I highly recommend this wonderful product.

Great features. Love the heated seat in winter!!! Should have gotten the model w/ remote.
We got this to replace an American Standard bidet seat that eventually worked itself loose from our Kohler toilet. It was no longer possible to tighten that seat, so we decided to get one that exactly fit our Kohler. What I Like: โ It fit absolutely perfectly on my elongated bowl Archer toilet and installed quickly and easily. (We don't do plumbing stuff well, but this was very easy.) โ This seat has a low profile which looks so much better than the older model, high in the back, seats of every brand. โ The seat is quite comfortable. โ The controls are what I was used to (front, back, wand length adjustment, pulse massage, deodorizing fan, heated seat, adjustments for temp and strength of water stream) and are fairly standard on these seats at this point. โ The heated seat. This is pretty much the height of civilization, imo. Life doesn't get much better than this! If you live where it gets cold in the winter or even just at night, I cannot emphasize how fantastic this feature is. I like all of the features of this seat, but the heat is easily my favorite. I had it on my previous seat as well and I've been spoiled by it. If I have to sit on a cold seat on a cold morning, it is a most unpleasant shock. The heat can be adjusted or completely turned off. โ The UV sanitization feature. This goes on automatically, although getting it to go on only when you want it to, rather than constantly, was more difficult than it should have been. โ The drying fan. I did not have this on my previous seat and it's a nice feature - cool, warm and hot. โ The seat slips on and off its mooring very easily. This is a very important feature for being able to clean all around the seat. โ The night light. My husband likes this feature more than I do. The two lights that make the nice blue glow at night, shine right into the water and are pretty bright when you open the toilet lid. I've learned to look away when opening the lid because the light is bright enough to wake me up more than I want in the middle of the night. There is no dimmer for the night light. It is either On or Off. But my husband is happy that he no longer had to turn a light on in the bathroom. What I Don't Like: โ The placement of the controls. When you are sitting, the controls are at about 5:00 (if looking down). That means that you have to twist a bit to see the controls. My husband says he can feel which buttons to push now and no longer has to twist around, but I am still twisting. Not as much, but enough to bug me. My other seat had a remote control, and I should have gotten the Kohler seat that that had it, but the price difference was kind of ridiculous just for a remote. Bottom line: Overall, I like this seat very much. It fits perfectly, does everything it's supposed to do and is easy to clean, which is obviously important. And the heated seat is soooooo nice to have.

Replaced my K 4737 with this model. Both are great.
I just purchased this to replace my well used Kohler K 4737. We had that model for 6 1/2 years. Never a problem. Heavily used. We just decided to take advantage of a good price on this newer model. I really felt badly when I disposed of an old friend that never let us down. I will compare the two. The biggest difference to me is the inline hybrid heater of this model, vs the tank heater of the K 4737. I like the tank heater better. Immediate and very hot water. Can actually feel scalding at the highest setting. Reheats very quickly. The 8298 starts off cool, and does not get as hot. Why get the new model? The K 4737 looks like it belongs in a nursing home, with its high tank. The new model looks much better. The new model has stainless steel nozzles vs plastic. My wife says this will be much easier to clean. The new model also feels more comfortable to sit in. I didnโt need to change the fittings when I switched seats. That was nice. Caution. Before you place the seat on the toilet, pull out the inlet connection from the seat. I mounted it first, and was not able to pull out the inlet tube. Had to remove the seat. When I reinstalled it, a 10 second job, I could not get the seat to lock in place again. Maybe a benefit. Doesnโt move. Easier to pull out to clean. These are very easy to pull away for cleaning, even when locked. Just push a tab. I have had two other brands that had remotes. Found them to be a pain, that constantly dropped on the hard bathroom floor. Did not want a remote model. Both of the other brands worked nicely, but developed defects within two years for one, and 90 days for the other. Junked them. Mfg no help. In my review of the K 4737, I put three photos on, showing the installation by an electrician. Metal sheathed wiring was connected and ran from the GFI plug, under the sink cabinet, and another plug was installed on the cabinet side next to the toilet. Nice to have a second plug on the other side of the cabinet. Let me separate the waterpic from the electric toothbrush. Installation was neat, invisible, and no wall repairs were needed, Also want to add that I installed the other brands in a different bathroom. The electrician, from the same company, had no idea what to do. Had no metal sheathed wiring, required per code. I showed him the first installation He replicated it. Recommend that if you have an electrician out to do one plug, have him do it for your other bathrooms at the same time. If you need it for another bidet it will be there. If not, the extra plug is nice.

The dual benefit of cleaning your behind as well really doesn't work well -you still need tissue
Having purchased and used this bidet for 4 months - all the electronic functions do work without fail. However - the rear wand sprayer doesn't clean as well as expected. You still have to use toilet paper. Bidet advertizements would lead you to belive you won't be using much toilet tissue- not true. The other "front sprayer" is fine for female use. I' ll give 4 stars for easy install and 4 stars for quality.

BEST IN CLASS and PRICE
This product is amazing. The price is decent considering all the features. There are less expensive products on the market but you buy the Kohler name and great reputation. A remote is non-sense people. Seriously, you are sitting directly next to the control panel and a remote is clutter and one more thing that can break. I researched all the Kohler products and it it a bit confusing. There are too many. One model has this and not that and so one so be aware of features you want and read and re-read descriptions carefully. They all look the same in the marketing materials. One word can make or break your expectations. One feature I would have liked is the pre wet feature that wets the bowl when you sit down so the poop doesnโt stick to the bowl. Lastly, this is a $300 model not a$1000 model. You may have to get used to repositioning your butt for optimal coverage. I love it-have 3. And my home is total Kohler -kitchen, bathroom and mudroom sinks, tub, toilets and faucets. No mix and match. Continuity is respected and adds to resale value tremendously. Installation is a no brainer. Easy, you donโt really even need directions. Only need one time read of directions to use it.

This Fits The Jacuzzi Primo Toilet Perfectly!
First of all, I went through 4 bidets trying to find one that fit this crappy toilet. The Jacuzzi Primo does not have enough water pressure for the bidet to work at its maximum potential. The main thing is that this bidet fits. It is a little longer in the front but no big deal. The electrical cord is longer and on the left (looking toward it) when most are on the right with shorter cords. The bidet works very nicely. After everything I went through to find a bidet to fit, I'm thinking on buying a new toilet for better water pressure. UPDATE: Still, this is a very nice bidet and works very well and the water pressure on it works fine. I bought this to make life easier for myself and my 94 year old mom whom I am caregiver for since she has Alzheimer's and rheumatoid arthritis, but had to send it back because there isn't a remote and she couldn't reach the buttons on the side. Also, it's very complicated to figure out all of the functions especially since I have ADD.

Fits our Koehler toilet perfectly. Smooth installation.
Works well. Easy to install. Love the light at night. I canโt compare this to others as far as how it functions but it seems to work as itโs supposed to.

Not compatible
It is designed for certain countries, as I can not find the compatible adapter for the product, even the international or universal adapters available in my country are not compatible for the product. I am unable to use the product.

I recommend this product if bidet is what you need
It is a very nice product much better than the tradition stand alone bidet. It is well built and easy to use once you learn its many functions. Installation is straight forward and comes with good instruction. However be very careful in connecting the water supply to the toilet and seat because Kohler uses plastic (nylon) fittings which can be stripped easily if not careful. I wish Kohler would use brass fittings instead.

Simply Amazing
This is one of the best thing's that I could have bought for my house, and would get another in the future for sure. Built in seat warmer is 5/5, the control panel is easy to use, and the entire installation process took about 30 mins.

Good bidet with a few caveats
Have been using this almost a year now. Installation is easy and has all required parts. I like the fact it has a stainless steel want - the Toto washlets have a plastic nozzle. Otherwise, it is a great functioning bidet, and I've just ordered a C3 050 for a 2nd bathroom which is missing the heated seat and the deoderizer. I'm okay with that due to current pandemnic pricing on the 155, and also, there are some drawbacks 1. The heated seat cannot be turned off. Kohler said it would not be on when not in use, which is a lie as measured by my FLIR infrared camera. There is no eco mode to turn off the heated seat either, which the Toto Washlets have so you're not heating it at 2AM. 2. The first 1 second of water is unheated. I wish Kohler would have let more water dribble out of the wand, expelling the cold from the lines, before engaging full pressure. Not a deal breaker and I think I prefer the on-demand style versus the resevoir of the low/mid range washlet. 3. The deoderizer... I just moved our bidet to another washroom after almost a year of use. The intake grill for the deoderizer fan had quite a build up of basically, toilet paper dust, that had a slight yellow tinge. I mean, it's a toilet, I'm not eating off it. Just know that if left uncleaned, it could build up and clog this feature. I'm also not sure if it really makes a huge difference in the bathroom smell. Note it is possible to turn off the deoderizer function. With #1 and #3 above, consider if you really want the heated seat and deoderizer, if not the C3 050 will save you a few bucks and has less moving parts to break.
