SpeckProducts Presidio Clear Case for iPhone 8 Plus (Also fits 7S/7 Plus and 6S/6 Plus), Clear/Clear

No matter what they say about it yellowing, the cases that are clear still yellow. Even speck, who I do think is one of the best cases built out there. If they say they do not yellow, they should replace if they do. No matter how many years you have it on your phone. If your phone has lasted the test of time, and stayed protected with the case. Surely, it should be able to look as beautiful as brand new. Especially if you purchased the special color, you need to have a case that enhances the color. But the window of exchange is not showing availability to get it replaced if it yellowed. That being said, I Love speck cases, just wished they'd back the " never ye[[owing" statement. ( especially when I see that we've purchase over 12 speck cases over the last few years for all our family phones protection

This case is overall great. It’s very sturdy and good looking. Every transparent case gets yellow with time, this one takes extra long. Had it for two years, got yellow, bought the same new one. Happy again. Wouldn’t put it on rigid surfaces thought. It gets scratched sometimes. With prolonged use the rubber gets shaded at the spots where hand sits, but that will happen o any case. This one lasted for two years. More then happy.

I’ve had this case for right at 6 months now, so I felt it was time to do a proper review.This case will absolutely protect from drops.It has a hard outer shell with a firm yet forgiving inner layer. I’ve dropped my phone more times than I can remember, off my workbench on to concrete, in parkinglots, down stairs, dropped while skateboarding, you name it. Im rough with my stuff, yet my phone still looks brand new, screen hasn’t cracked, and functionality is perfect.Now the case itself has taken a lot of damage, but that is to be expected. It has dents and dings on the corners, and scratches on the back. But that’s exactly what the case is meant for, it absorbed the damage and protects the phone.Now the case did yellow a bit. This started after a 3 day trip to schlitterbahn where I had my *waterproof* iPhone 8+ in my pocket without any extra protection. I went down water slides, tube chutes, hot tubs, every ride they had, and even lost my phone briefly in the wave pool. (The iPhone did fine underwater btw)After that trip the inner layer of the case started yellowing, I assume from the chlorine in the pools reacting in some way, but the protection the case provides never faultered.I also keep my phone on a dash mount during my commute which is about 2 hours a day, and I’m sure the roughly 400 hours it has spent in direct sunlight played a role in the yellowing.All in all, it’s just asthetic and not a big deal in my book. Can still obviously see my red phone through the case.Lastly- the piece that goes above the charger port broke off about a week ago, which also isn’t a big deal, especially with how hard I’ve been on this case.I bought a new one to show the side by side difference in the attached pictures.The only caveat that I didn’t like at first is how slick the case is, but I got used to it quickly and is makes retrieving it from my pocket easy.All things considered, I highly recommend this case. It does exactly what it’s meant to, and I don’t even flinch anymore when my phone drops.

I'm on my second one now. After a year or so, on my last one, the color became less transparent with a little bit of a brown tint to it. It was nothing that distracted from my rose colored iPhones appearance. I needed to replace my previous one, after 2 years, because enough plastic had fallen off between the silence and volume switches that it seemed like a good time. It still protected my phone very well at that point. During the 2 years, I dropped the phone about 20 times onto concrete/asphalt and probably another 20 in the house. I'm not real cautious with my phone probably because of this case. I don't have a single scratch or dent on my phone. It offers superior protection largely for 3 big reasons: 1) the lip around the front face protrudes 2 - 3mm above the face (so the face of my phone hasn't made contact with the ground), 2) the material offers a very nice impact absorption, 3) the material stretches temporarily when the phone hits the ground with an awkward spin. I know this because sometimes the case looks a little loose and out of position after one of those spinning drops (where my second hand tried catching the phone as it fell, but just knocked it into a spin). I'll buy this cover again in 2 years.

Case is awesome. Slim and not bulky

I totally didn’t think of this prior to purchasing or I would have purchased a different colored Speck Phone Case.This case is kind of difficult to get on and off of the phone. I actually haven’t been able to get it off. Which usually is fantastic. It means it’s well built and a snug fit, for better protection. Which is why I can’t be upset about it.BUT we have a cute little pug dog. She is brindle and doesn’t she’s hardly at all. But she snuggles my little kids and I a lot. And After a couple weeks I have several pug dog hairs trapped in the back of my phone case. It’s driving me crazy. If you don’t have a dog or cat that sheds, this likely will not be an issue for you.This is my third iPhone Speck case I have had (each for different phones), and I do not plan on EVER buying another brand of phone case. I have a 2 & 4 year old. Unfortunately, they are pretty tough on certain household items. They always think my phone needs to be with me, so if I leave it they bring it or throw it to me. It has been dropped well over one hundred times. My last one after two years of use finally had a small break from wear and tear just under the home button. It was an irritating spot. But it was an insanely well used case. I always recommend Speck cases to everyone I know.

A nice strong case, I bought primarily because my last one was no UV protected. However after 6 months this one shows that at the corner bumpers and buttons, that it isn't fully UV protected either. A shame.

I liked the transparency but have found the case difficult to keep hold of as sides slippery. Have changed the case as worried I’ll drop and damage my phone

So far so good! I was unlucky to drop my iPhone 8plus two weeks after getting it and the back glass cracked. I had a cheap £3 case on it which was useless. After a £399 repair bill it seems that it is worth spending a little more for protection. This case seems much better and a good fit, only time will tell

Case is discoloured and broken after 6 months of use. Will avoid this brand in future.

Very solid case. The iPhone is heavier now but set against that it feels protected in the event of a fall.
