6 1/4" tall without the lid. 7 1/4" tall with the plunger depressed and 10 3/4" with the plunger fully extended.

Will it keep the coffee hot for at least two hours?

A French Press is not made for storing coffee. You make it and drink it. If you left coffee in it for two hours with the coffee grinds in the bottom it would ruin the taste. There would be better options for storing coffee long term. Just make the coffee and put in something made for that use.

What grade of steel is this French press? 18/8 or 18/10?

I thought I read some where that it is 18|10 this is the best french press I ever used compared to the glass one that Im always breaking!!!! that being said the quality is superior worth ever penny

Are there measurement lines inside the container to show how much water is inside??

The line is a capacity line. The line is to prevent the carafe from overflowing when the coffee is pressed.
