I live 45 miles from any city but relax with radio over internet. I trusted reviews and agree. It's big enough to include useful settings while avoiding power-drain features. I'm getting strong reception from stations I didn't know existed, while both small size and lack of telescopic antenna are positives.Tuning (analog dial) is different than hitting a scan button, but produces more stations. (Remember-- weak signal/volume/static are typically weak batteries) I'm in Michigan & have listened to night-time AM from the upper East coast & Canada.UPDATE PRO: better sound than HD apps on my laptop CON: the tuning dial sometimes moves when pulling it from a pocket, etc I stay @ 5 Stars
