Does this work in a 220v with a small adapter ?(based in Hong Kong)

The Waffle Maker should work in a 220v adapter after reviewing adapters. I have used my adapters for cell phone chargers and IPad.

I got this for Christmas but for some reason it doesn't seem to cook the top only the bottom of a waffle, is this normal?

No, both sides should cook evenly. Since I like crisper waffles I let mine cook about 30 seconds past when the click sound occurs.
