It is exactly what it looks like it should be.
If anything, I am pleasantly surprised at how sturdy it is. It lifts the laptop nicely, so it can be used comfortably alongside my monitor. In my case, it is useful that there is no piece across the back, which lets me position it to straddle part of my desk.I’m sure what the other reviewer’s issue is, in terms of assembly. You just have to position it so you’re pushing the acrylic thing Into the bend of each metal piece with your thumb. Directions include a video, if needed. As for the complaint about the logo..... it is a sticker! Which peels off easily and without leaving residue.

Assembly tip
The stand is functional and does the job. It took me a few minutes to figure out the assembly. I thought I had to press down on the leges to get the center bar to snap into place, but that's not necessary. You just have to pull the plastic center bar forward into the crease of the leg until it snaps in.

Returned - Could not be assembled
I bought this stand to be used at work since my neck is tired of me looking down at my laptop. My poor rating is due to the fact that I could not assemble the stand. I don't know if the stand I received was defective, but myself and three of my coworkers attempted to put it together, and none of us succeeded. It seems like the clear center bar, which is supposed to hold together the two z shaped arms, has no way of latching onto/snapping into the side arms. I'm returning it.

Its a great height. Surprisingly sturdy and looks good. The big logo on the front was a bit much. But nothing another sticker won’t solve. Simple, practical and inexpensive.

It works for me
It gets the job done. I have an adjustable standing desk and I needed my laptop to sit higher. It still isn't eye level, but it does prevent some of the stress on the neck from looking down.

Missing piece
We never received the clear piece that holds this together

Had to bend it to make it work.
A friend finally assembled it. Six people before him attempted to assemble it--yes, we watched the instructional video--but couldn't. We just couldn't get the pieces to line up. Then the friend shared that the way he made it work was to slightly bend open one of the legs! So now the plastic connector occasionally falls out on one side. And I always have to carry it in 2 pieces when I'm moving it. When it's locked in and sitting still (lol) it functions great. I just wish it hadn't taken his good intentions and brute strength to put together. I wouldn't buy it again.
