No, 8 rechargeable batteries will only produce 10.4 to 11.2 volts. The Virtuoso GTI needs a 12 volt system to run correctly.

Is it possible to align the telescope and track objects without Wi-Fi? We'd like to use at a remote site, no internet, no wifi router.

Telescopes that use wi-fi for telescope control emit their own signal that the user connects to via their smartphone or tablet and the appropriate app. It is also possible to plug in a hand controller to control the telescope without wi-fi if you choose..

You would need a 12V 2amp power supply. With a 2.1 x5.5 center positive plug.

Can it be mounted on a tripod?
