I was thrilled to find these boots, as reasonably priced tall boots almost never fit my long and not-so-slim calves. These are quite tall, and are a bit stiff behind the knee even for me with my long legs. If you have shorter calves they would definitely be uncomfortable. Very warm considering they are not heavy. Overall a plus for me.

Got these boots about a week ago and have been waiting to write a review so I could try them out. First off if you wear a slim calf boot like I do order the wide I ordered the regular (assuming they would be big like a typical regular is on me) from another seller and waited for 1.5 months to receive then due to being on back order when they came the calf was to small and would not zip up with skinny jeans on. I returned them and ordered the wide from amazon and they fit great with some leggings and pants over them (I freeze in the winter). Typically my feet are never warm and I struggle finding warm boots especially for winter riding. I am so happy with these boots I have not been riding yet but have wore them a every time for chores and went hunting in them a few times and my feet stay warm!! Yesterday is was pretty chilly (22^F) and I wore these hunting my feet towards the end of the 3hr set did start to chill so i figure when I ride I will throw some toe warmers on and be happy! I absolutely LOVE these boots and most definitely worth the buy!!!!!!!

Agreed with previous folks, these are for long legs with slender calves. In summer I wear Mountain Horse Venezia boots, 9 regular, and I love them! They are a great fit and comfortable and look great. Unfortunately they won’t do now that we are in single digits in NY, so time for winter boots. I likes the style and the work done to make these warm, so picked up a pair. Same size but the calf is much tighter HOWEVER I believe it will loosen as I break them in and they become less stiff and the fur compressed a little. I am long legged (5,8” but proportionately long legs) and they are great but anyone shorter may find them uncomfortable with any knee flexion. My legs don’t feel compression once I have them done up though and the height is just right for me. I agree with other folks who recommend a size larger than your normal fit (eg if you are normally an 8 get a 9, unless you are a very small 8) You don’t have as much sensitivity when riding in these, but who would expect to? I think they are amazing, ride well AND fit standard English stirrups look great and handle the 2 feet of snow we have with no problem.The true test of these came the morning after I got them I put them in to go feed the horses and found the fence down to my stallion pen, and was suddenly on a hunt and capture mission in 2 foot deep snow and 5F temperatures. Thankfully tracking him was easy as was catching him with an oat pail, but a lot of snow trudging was involved. Completely unbroken these boots left no rub marks and no pressure spots and my feet actually stayed warm!

Ran a bit big compared to other Mountain Horse boots that I have. Love the brand, but these are very stiff and hit the back of my knee. Sadly had to return these.

I love these Mountain Horse winter boots. So glad they had my size! They are warm and comfortable, and I actually more secure in the stirrup with these than my regular Ariat paddock boots. The zipper is strong. I’ve worn them around the farm to work because they are so warm and comfy.

Boot was too tall for my calf. I am average height and I was not able to bend my knee in these boots. Had to return. I ordered a size smaller and the short version of this boot and hope to have better results.

Very comfortable winter boot without a lot of bulk in the stirrups.They broke in easily without rubs or blisters. I sized up to a 10 ( regular calf / short height ) because my normal size is 9.5 and I wanted to ensure room for thicker socks and this model doesn’t have half sizes .Can’t comment on durability, but Mountain Horse is a quality brand so I hope I will have warm feet for several seasons with these.
