I'm sure this holder would keep cats from unrolling the tp. The problem was that It required more space than we had. The lid requires space to hinge up and doesn't swing our of the way. You need space to bend down to see/grab the tp. I'm sure it would work well with more space.

You would need to use part of the 425-sheet roll from Costco before it would fit inside the holder. Otherwise, it seems to be well constructed. Another thing, it ships from overseas, so it takes a while to arrive. It's a good idea, just needs to be a little larger diameter wise.

My cat was unrolling the paper at night. And, my dog was pulling it off of the old dispenser. I used the screw in method because of the location. It works great. No break-ins from my pets. It's attractive and seems really sturdy. It took a little bit to figure out how much paper to leave hanging out, but it works great. Now my guests don't have to search cabinets for the toilet paper.

It does exactly what I needed keeps my cat from tearing up the toilet paper but I gave 3-5 stars because I drop the tp alot when I go to use it. It doesnt stay inside well when you need to use it.

I purchased this because I have cats that like to unwind the entire roll. However the holder for the roll does not hold it properly. You have to buy the thick TP for it to stay on at all but by the time you have about a quarter of a roll left it won't stay in place anymore and jams up or pops off completely. Then the rest of the roll sits on top where everyone has to handle it to unroll more paper. After trying a couple different brands of TP I gave up and took it down. It was a complete waste of money and added extra holes in the wall.

This TP holder has sharp edges when you change the roll you cut your hand. Had to put tape on edge to prevent cuts. Not a good look. Plus...It is too wide for the TP. it keeps falling off. I had to make the springs longer to help the roll to stay on. Not a good purchase. I kept it but did not like having to do all the adjustments

I got this to keep my cats from destroying the toilet paper and dragging it all over the house. It keeps them from wasting all the toilet paper and it looks nice at the same time!

Why keep your TP safe? With a mischievous dog who was unrolling and shredding a roll with his muddy paws at every chance he got, this was the solution I needed. Bonus that it doubles as a phone rest.
