I bought this a couple years ago as a part of our minimalist camping style. It's lightweight, easily hangs from a camp kitchen, tree or in my case on the side of the vamper (van converted to a camper).the scissors are sharp, sturdy and very effective on all sorts of materials and thickness * The cutting board is a little small, but it works well for the small quantities that the 2 of us require * spatula is fine, nothing special but plenty good enough. it's a spatula and it works *the tongs are cheaply made but i've never had any issues using them. *the knife is the BOMB! Not just good, IMPRESSIVE! * don't use the plastic spoon thing anywhere near heat. A little tidbit I learned all by myself. It feels like I'm leaving something out, but I don't know what it is.Not to mention the bag itself. Very nicely made. Holds its shape, heavy duty fabric, sturdy zipper that has had no issues.so if it's that good, why by a second one. Well, my husband accidentally threw the first one away. Having been so happy with the first one, I didn't even consider anything else. That's about the best testimony I can think of.I highly recommend this if your are looking for a small, effective set of kitchen tools that get the job done and best of all is self contained and securely fastened.

I just saw your email and it reminded right away to come on here and write a STELLAR review on this product! I love it. Every Memorial Day weekend for the last 9 years myself and friends & family go on a 4 day 3 night canoe/kayaking trip down the Rappahanock River north of Fredericksburg Virginia. My husband and I generally take reigns on the kitchen and cooking items (because I’m a control freak lol) and for years I’ve been packing my own stuff which...number 1, I would always bring more then we actually used or needed and 2, it took up a lot of room in our gear. I was perusing Amazon’s camping gear one night and saw the camping cookware set and thought, it’s a good price, why not? Let’s try it. Generally Amazon carry’s quality products, but you never know until it comes and so in the back of my mind I was still planning to bring my own. But I got to say I was EXTREMELY pleased with this cookware set. First of all, it’s compact and thin, which made it great to just slip inside a bag for easy access, Second, I love the zipper! Everything stays in place and I never wondered where anything was (unlike my utensils jumbled together in an old tent bag and I was constantly “where is...or I can find...😂) Third, I love the design that you can add other things in and it still closes. I see what you did there 👁👁❤️ I needed to bring a whisk, my husbands and my utensil set (camp fork, spoon, knife all in one and they’re both about and inch and half thick when they’re folded closed), scissors, a can opener, 2 steak knives (we eat well on this trip) and a tablespoon measuring spoon (which I find to be helpful because most of our food is prepped in ziplock bags before hand so we used the measuring spoon basically as a scoop). But ALL OF THAT fit in the case no problem! Fourth reason I love it is because we laid it out opened on our camp table and everyone was able to use it if they needed too, rather than asking me to look in my tent bag of basically all of the utensils in my kitchen 🙄😂 Seriously though, I love it, I was impressed by it, and I would recommend it to anyone! I’m doing a series on my must haves for my canoe trip and tonight’s video is my must have at the campsite, specifically the camp “kitchen” and this cookware set is on my must haves. I will be taking it on all camping and canoeing trips going forward! So yes, a million star review from this girl right here ✋🏻❤️

When you're buying something cheaper than the expected GSI or REI utensil prices and off of amazon, you're going to expect that the quality isn't going to 100% the BEST. People complained about the "ashtray" smell. It's honestly not that bad. It smells more like that generic Chinese manufactured plasticy smell. I call it the Harbor Freight smell (Don't get me wrong, i LOVE harbor freight). The best way to get rid of the smell is to let it air dry for a day or two. Sometimes it'll go away quicker if you air dry in direct sunlight. It gives you plenty of time to do the initial wash off all the utensils inside.Now on to the utensils. They're not the best HOWEVER for utensils that will be used during camping trips, they're WAY better than the plastic knives and spoons or pointy sticks being used to stab the hot dog out of the cast iron. Conceptually, this set is awesome because it provides you with all the basics that are needed when you are off camping. So instead of having to go through things in your kitchen and taking them with you, you have this set. If I were to break something or lose something then oh well! I'll replace it. I wouldn't feel the same way with my more expensive utensils.The knife isn't the greatest. It is sharp however the collar to the knife isn't seated flushed to the handle so the edge is a tad sharp too. As for the scissors, not sure how sharp or reliable they are but I do like that you can take them apart (might be dangerous for heavy snipping).I will update this review after my 7 day camping roadtrip adventure and see which utensils were yay or nay!Long overdue update : this was seriously the BEST purchase we made for our camping road trip. We literally lives out of my Jeep as we camped through 4 states. The knife was honestly the sketchiest item but the rest was perfect. We had everything in dedicated totes so having one place to not only have all the cooking utensils but to even store out eating utensils in was AMAZING. We even threw in our cast iron scrubber just to keep literally all the cooking utensils knick knacks with each other. For 7 days the utensils held up to our expectations. Since that trip we've taken it to every camping trip and honestly has been such a life saver. We know that once things kinda fall apart on us, we'll start replacing utensils with ones we don't use at home anymore. If anything, just but this for the bag! Who would've thought something so simple would make our camping experience so much more enjoyable!

I jut got done using this set during a 10-day camping trip through the Sierra...and it was perfect. It has everything you need in a very portable package, and the quality is excellent. I’m really impressed. I would recommend having a pot holder or a welding glove if you are going to cook over an open fire. As the handles aren’t long. I carry a welding glove in my camp kit anyway, so this wasn’t an issue for me. This is really a great kit and value.
