Good starter to gauge a child's interest
I bought this one for a 6 year old who loves banging around on my full size. He's not old enough to seriously start taking lessons. This is a great, inexpensive tester guitar to see if he really has an interest before he gets to a more suitable age. Also, finding this size guitar in lefty was a chore! In fact, if I have one minor gripe, it's that it didn't come in any other colors, as he really wanted blue. (We lefties are so discriminated against in the guitar color market! lol)The overall construction is solid. The size is perfect for him. I did spend $10 on some professional grade strings (classical ONLY, not metal). After getting the strings broken in for a few days, it will hold tune fairly well. Of course, it's a $50 guitar, so temper your expectations. I think of it as more of an oversized Uke, personally.Overall, if you have a small child who shows an interest, give it a shot.

It's OK but nothing to write home about...
I cut off the index and ring fingers on my left hand 25 years ago. They were re-attached. Don't go sticking your hand in a snow blower children. That being said I can't get the curl in the left hand that I would need to play guitar. So I bought this one. It's as cheap and chinczy as it comes but hey I only know one cord so I stick with it for now and I struggle on trying to play left handed. A guy has to dream
