Fantastic for my dogs sensitive stomach and dry, itchy skin issues. A godsend after years of frustration.
My dog has major tummy and skin issues, and allergies galore. After going thru massive trial and error on vet suggested 'expensive' foods...some even prescription only I was getting very frustrated. I was surprised one day to see that Beneful had a Grain Free formula and decided to give it a try. I know there are those of you that think you have to get the 'big name, expensive all natural foods' to feed your dog. Well I tell you, after years of doing it that way and extreme expense 'AND' having one miserable dog all the time no matter what I did, I am very pleased to say this Beneful Grain Free has been a godsend! Since starting him on this his itching skin has improved tremendously, his coat has gotten shiny and his feathery tail has begun to grow back out beautifully. He has more energy and has had absolutely 'NO' tummy issues whatsoever. Also, his weight has come down to a more healthy level that has made his vet very happy. All in all I 'HIGHLY RECOMMEND' Purina Beneful 'Grain-Free' with Real Farm Raised Chicken dog food. Buddy and I couldn't be more pleased. My Buddy is almost 9 years old and has been battling his tummy and skin issues for about 7 of those years.

“Farm-raised chicken” rather than chickens running wild?
This is a reasonable grain free, non-premium dog food choice, but the gimmicky nature of it’s marketing is worth a look. The chicken is proclaimed to be “farm-raised.” Does this have any useful meaning? Isn’t all chicken in commercial dog food farm-raised? Are any companies offering dog food made with chickens that aren’t being raised on farms?Underneath the statement of Beneful being made “with farm-raised chicken the #1 ingredient”, it states “accented with blueberries, pumpkin & spinach.” Nowhere on the front of the bag is any mention made of the Pea Starch, Cassava Root Flour, Chicken By-Product Meal, Soybean Germ Meal, Soybean Meal, Canola Meal, Beef Tallow Preserved with Mixed-Tocopherols, Dried Beet Pulp, Poultry and Pork Digest, Mono and Dicalcium Phosphate, Soybean Oil, Salt, Calcium Carbonate, Potassium Chloride which come before the Blueberries, Dried Pumpkin, Dried Spinach in the ingredient list. Yes, there is more salt than blueberries in the bag.IMHO, this is fine as a non-premium food, if that is your choice for your dog, but don’t let the marketing gimmicks make you think it is more than it really is.I am uploading a picture which includes some coins so you can see the size of the kibbles.

Maggots in brand new bag!
Have bought this dog food several times but this time will be my last. Opened a new bag poured my dogs each some. Looked down and seen this weird string like stuff in the bowl. The more I looked the more i found. Maggots! Literally one crawling in the photo.

My Pups Enjoy It
After switching to grain free food for my two 25 and 30 lb Cocker Spaniels, I wasn't having much luck finding a brand they both seemed to enjoy (of course my male will eat nearly anything). They both really love the Purina grain free brand so far, though! I've been feeding them this food since September-ish and I've noticed they are shedding less, and their stools have become more regular. One 12.5 lb bag lasts them 3-4 weeks I used to buy this from my local grocery store for about $6 more. Purchase this from Amazon, you'll save money and it arrives perfectly fine in a box within 2 days (with Prime of course).

Also the bag has a zipper so its kind of like getting a free garbage bag too
My dogs had allergy issues and I spent thousands between two different vets, one of which was an allergy specialist. I tried kangaroo meat and lamb and rice formulas but only grain free worked. My girls are now allergy free and baneful is the cheapest grain free option. Also the bag has a zipper so its kind of like getting a free garbage bag too!

He is doing fantastic! He no longer scratches
This dog food has really helped my dog. My dog was always itching and scratching (no fleas). A friend at work told me about her dog having grain allergies and how it helped her dog. I decided to give it a shot for my dog. He is doing fantastic! He no longer scratches, and he loves it. The only problem is trying to find it. Its not readily available.

No Picky Puppies With This Food!
My dogs love this food, and it has been a long time since I have had a food they will eat without my needing to 'decorate' the food with something to entice them into eating. I put this dry food into their bowls and they gobble it down and look for more. My collie has stomach issues but there is no problem with tnis grain free food, and it does not smell of funky fish like so many others have. I wish the bags were larger, but I just buy two at a time, much to the mailman's horror and grumbling at carrying it to the porch!
