Is this product ultra pasteurized I’m looking to mak e cheese with it?

Our raw milk is pasteurized to meet US and NZ legal requirements for sale to the public. This means its heat treated to 72C (161.6F) for 15 seconds, which is standard for dairy products. Ultra Pasteurized products are usually treated to 280F in order to kill all of the bacteria , which allows the product to be shelf stable in liquid format. This product has not had that level of "Ultra" heat treatment.

Does this product contain vitamin d or votamin d2 or d3?

Good Goat Milk Powder has naturally occurring levels of Vitamin D. We do not fortify it with additional vitamins or minerals.

Question 3

Does milk powder dissolve in cold water like baby formula?

Accepted Answer

HI - yes it does, it just takes a little longer to dissolve than if it was in warm water. We don't add any oils to our product so its not as fast to dissolve as baby formula, which does contain oils. Cheers!

Are any of the plants fed to goats grown using any type of pesticide?

Accepted Answer

Our goats diet consists of pasture plants like grass, clover, lucerne plus hay and silage in the winter when the fresh grass growth isn't so good. Occasionally if the goats need to put on weight (for example) they are given supplementary feeds like grains.

Our product is not certified organic so farmers are allowed to use pesticides on their crops. Residues in milk and dairy products are strictly monitored by the New Zealand Govt to ensure consumer safety, as can be seen here: https://www.mpi.govt.nz/food-business/dairy-products-processing-manufacture-testing-requirements/monitoring-testing-dairy-products/national-chemical-contaminants-programme-for-dairy-products.

We also test all of our powder at independent labs in the US for Glyphosate residue and we are a member of "The Detox Project" to whom we have to submit the testing results, proving no detection of Glyphosate for each lot produced and sold. We hope that provides certainty for consumers that there is no detectable Glyphosate residue in our finished product.
