Are these just for the top stamp cost? What do you use for the base color?

Yes these are for stamping..these are too think for a base coat. I use regular nail polish for the base coat. You can use any color you would like for a base coat. I have used a white base and the bright blue for stamping. I have used red base and black stamping color.

So these air dry correct? You don't put under uv lamp.

Correct. They're stamping polishes rather than gel or acrylic. They dry faster than regular polish, too.

Can I use on gel nail polish?

Yes, I don't use gel polish but you can absolutely use it on gel polish. Just top coat with a gel polish so it can cure in your lamp.
