Love this so far
I honestly love this watch. I haven't done any water mode/swimming/wearing it in the shower attempts, so I cant speak on its underwater functionality. However I LOVE that it works with the samsung health app, it's the whole reason I wanted to go with a samsung smart watch. The battery life is about a day, but considering all the functions it has, I don't think that's that bad. I just charge it every morning while I shower and get ready for work. It doesn't track just my arm movements, so I feel that the step counter is really accurate. I'm absolutely glad I bought it despite other reviews.

You wont be disappointed!
I LOVE THIS WATCHI've been wearing it nearly every day for 3 years now (9/28/17, right when the Fit2Pro was released) and it has been immaculate. What I wanted, and how it delivered:Low profile- i have tiny wrists. Like 6" max. I needed something that wasnt going to be clunky like most smart watches are. 9/10, i think fitbits are smaller but they didnt do the other stuff, see below.Professional- work, gym, going out. I wear it everywhere and I needed a watch that would be versatile with me. By itself it was great but the rose gold milanese loop is the perfect addition for professionalism. 10/10Durable- both waterproof and scratch resistant, I've taken this watch surfing, snorkeling, pool swimming, hiking, skateboarding, and more. Its held up though everything. Its nearly brand new and I dont even have a screen protector! Some super featherlight surface scratches you probably cant even see.GPS- tracks my workouts without need to be connected to my phoneMusic on board, and blutooth connectivity- this was HUGE for me. I needed to be able to leave my house without my phone. I run with nothing but this watch and blutooth headphones, I can listen to music downloaded directly on the watch while tracking my workouts with GPS.Syncs with other apps- its big on UnderArmor, so like myfitnesspal and mapmyrun and endomondo are all recommended. I have used them all, I actually think endomondo is the best but you do you. Also, recently added a remote camera shutter, so I can put my phone down to take a geoup picture and click the shutter on my wrist, that's a plus for me.It also has all the other stuff, sleep, heartrate, yada yada, but those arent as big of a deal to me personally.I adore this watch and I will be very sad if it ever goes away.

Great waterproofing, except in salt water
I've been using this in a fresh water pool for many months without problems, and I swim hardcore: 100 lengths crawl in 25 meter pool. However, I recently moved and the neighborhood pool is saltwater, and my first one immediately got on the fritz and eventually died (no power, unable to charge, flickered on and off randomly before completely dying), but I love this thing and gotten used to its functionality and love the Samsung Health app, since it tracks my snowboarding, swimming, windsurfing, steps, floors, blood sugar, pulse, and on and on. I've tried other swim tracking apps, like Speedo's, but this integrates into my life much more broadly and gives me a fuller picture of my health, although it may not track my swimming with as much detail. So, I bought another one, but sprayed Corrosion X Heavy Duty, and then Corrosion X, the regular stuff, onto it. (I became familiar with Corrosion X using it as a waterproofing agent against the electronics in my RC airplanes with water pontoons for water landings). Now, no problems. I use my Gear 3 watch I have for regular days, and before I go to the saline pool for a swim, I douse the Gear Fit2 Pro in Corrosion X the day before and wipe it down before I go swimming. The Gear Fit2 Pro did flicker off and on once, when I didn't douse it in Corrosion X before a swim, thinking the previous coating would be functional, but it didn't. Now I douse it every swim. I read a lot about swimmers' and surfers' smart watches, but none of them seem really good in salt water anyway, although I could be wrong.

Terrible Service - Do NOT Buy
I bought this for my wife for mother's day. I wish I'd bought something else.First of all, the battery life is not as good as advertised. It rarely makes it beyond a day, and some activities (like being too far from phone or tracking workouts) seem to really drain the battery quickly. There's not a good way to track when GPS is on or off so frequent reboots are needed to kick it out of GPS mode and reduce battery drain. The software it comes with sort of sucks, and is clunky to use.But the worst part is that this is advertised as a device meant to be used in the water. The samsung site shows it worn by a swimmer, and it says it is rated to 5ATM of pressure, or 50 meters underwater. My wife wore it swimming a couple times, and it seemed fine. The last time she did this, it just completely stopped working. This happened about 2 months after the purchase (beyond the amazon return period). After hours on the phone & through chat support with Samsung, we finally got a shipping label to send it for repair or replacement. For some reason they could not find the serial number in their database, which made the return process difficult. No one ever explained the serial number problem. We sent it back in all of the original packaging, and heard nothing for a week or two. Then it was shipped back to us (without any of the original packaging), with a note stating 'un-repairable, due to liquid damage'. I called to ask why it wasn't replaced instead, and they say the warranty was voided because we got it wet.Yes, that's right - the allegedly waterproof activity tracker's warranty was voided because it got wet. Only one of several reps I spoke to managed to see the trouble with this. After escalating to a supervisor, she told me there was nothing else to be done and no one else I could talk to. When I insisted there must be someone else, she intentionally transferred me to the 'Appliances and TV' department in the Dominican Republic as punishment.I'm still waiting on a call back from an escalation supervisor, but I'm not hopeful.Avoid this POS, and the stress of dealing with Samsung's horrendous support.
