Worth the time assembling & cost … this was the perfect answer
Quality is great, instructions on the front bar & back bar should include larger pictures for clarification. Easy to assemble …warning the nuts & bolts are tiny but they are of good quality material. My hens adapted quite well and I had eggs first thing this am🤗 Definately worth the $$

A must have for clean eggs!
I love this! I bought this because my hens were eating their eggs and I was getting dirty eggs. This has prevented them from eating them and my eggs are so clean now. Make sure you have it at a good slant so the eggs roll down. Super easy to clean, the drawers come out, and very sturdy and functional. Super easy to put together too.

4/5 Stars — Good Value, But Not Without Its Quirks
For the price, this nesting box gets the job done. Assembly was straightforward enough that my 15-year-old put it together without any issues, which says a lot. No engineering degree required. The perches and rollout egg collection are nice touches — the eggs roll away from the hens, which means fewer broken ones and less of a mess to deal with. The red finish looks sharp in the coop too. That said, a couple of things worth knowing before you buy. If you've got larger breeds, the compartments run a bit on the small side. My girls make it work, but it's a tight fit. And after about a year of use, it's starting to show some wear — a few pieces aren't holding up as well as I'd hoped. It's not falling apart overnight, but don't expect this to be a forever piece of equipment. If you're looking for something budget-friendly to get your hens laying in the right spot, this does the trick. Just go in with realistic expectations about longevity, especially if you've got big birds.

The chickens are intrigued
It was easy to put together. . The nuts and bolts were kinda small. Very sturdy! It came with fake eggs to entice the chickens too!I have 4 hens this has 3 compartments, but they used to live in a dome dog kennel( in their enclosure) and they used to take turns going in to lay their eggs. So I’m pretty sure they will take turns again.I have 2 Rhode Island reds, a blue lace Wyandotte and another hen that I guess is just a mix ( she looks like a rooster)They all went to check out the new nesting boxes and they are just the right size, my birds are pretty big. They have enough room to go in and turn around and set.Today I got my first “ nesting boxes” egg. It was so big that it pushed the fake egg into the collection tray and it stayed in the nest. All in all, I think this is a good purchase.

Stopped chickens from eating their eggs.
I had a serious problem with the chickens eating their eggs. I purchased this item after reading various reviews. We have used it for two days and... a complete success! The chickens used it right away, clean eggs rolled into the collection box, and none got eaten.Assembly was a bit tricky in places, but overall easy enough using the assembly video (on Amazon site) and the instruction booklet. Hardest part was figuring out how to slide the plastic trays into place at the end (easy once I saw how it worked). The nesting box is designed to be hung from a wall, but I put it on the floor of the coop where the previous nesting boxes had been. I placed a 3-ft length of 2x4 along the back so that the floor of the nesting boxes would be at the correct angle to roll the eggs.

Ok product
Pretty decent, screws are tiny and tedious. Instructions not great but with common sense it’s ok. Paint chips easily. If you use nesting pads it won’t allow the eggs to roll.

My new layers use it and love it!
Good price, easy to put together and chickens enjoy it! Sheet metal is very pliable but it was still simple to assemble. Eggs easily roll down into collection area, one egg broke so far, so I might put something to soften the roll at the end. I put some bedding in the nesting boxes and it falls through the holes but they use it without bedding anyways. I might buy a thin nesting pad just to make it more comfortable for them but I dont want to to effect the roll so we'll see. I mounted it above the floor and sometimes they try to lay underneath the box, but they're new to laying so they're learning! Also I added additional screws in the back, I believe its 3 screws toward the top so I added at least 2 towards the bottom and it made it really secure.

Catastrophic Failure
I’m so disappointed. 2 of the 3 floors have completely broken out of the nesting boxes. I’ve tried snapping them back in place, putting a box under them to hold them in place, every morning they’re hanging by a thread. Dangling. I love the concept, it’s was nice to have clean eggs…. For 6 weeks. And one box is still intact. But the other 2 are catastrophic failures. The metal bar in front of one box has even snapped off and is dramatically sticking up. It’s a great idea, and I loved it for the month and a half it functioned. But dude.

Broken after a little over two months
We really liked these lay box. The part that broke was plastic. And that is the part that bears the weight. The rest of the lay box is painted metal and it is quite nice. Most of the hens used it and it worked well til it let go.The company who sold it would do nothing to make it right. With tax it was over $200 CD so I was assuming it would last years.Summing up: the plastic is the garbage. I lost a bunch of eggs as well.
