I do think it is helping
My straight neck likes this. I do notice sometimes it feels like my neck is "breathing" like I feel like my nerves and all that are just working well, there is a weird sensation. Hard to describe. Is it fixing it? Who knows. Hopefully I can get rechecked to find out, but for now I do notice a difference, especially with tension and pain with my neck/traps. I am also focusing on getting the right magnesium into my diet (vitamins etc). Bit early to tell, but I do recommend this. It feels good, and is a nice relief. Sometimes rough to use, but still nice overall, if that makes sense.

Works great.
My neck lacks the curve it should have and this is working to create that curve. My neck is already feeling better after only a few weeks of using it for 10 minutes per day.

Assists with proper neck curvature
Made in USA, the Apex Cervical Orthosis is adjustable in height by 1" increments. The bottom of the firm, foam block with an angled top to fit underneath the user's shoulders and neck, has two sections that can be removed. The height of the foam can be 2.5" high, 3.5" high or 4.5" high. I am a 5'6" tall, 165-pound female who has a bulging disc at C4. I purchased this block to use to encourage my neck to decompress, bringing back essential blood flow and hopefully relieving some of the discomfort and damage in this area of my spine. The block is indeed 'firm' with little or no give, so it does not feel cozy or squishy in any way. Highly unlikely that with regular use it will break down at all. The directions for use of this product indicate the importance of using it under the direction of a professional. I am currently under the care of a doctor for my spine and neck issues. I did ask him about this, and he said "If it makes you feel better, but it may hurt at first." NOTE: The directions also indicate it's recommended you use this product only for 2 minutes the first few times, and then follow with a cool pack on your neck. Working up to a 20-minute session of use. There is also mention of rolling off of it versus sitting straight up after use. I am going to plan on using this twice a day for 2-3 minutes each day for a week before increasing the time. I am somewhat pained after using it the first two times, followed by the recommended cold pack. I do think individual results may vary, but it definitely works as promised and does place your neck and shoulders in the proper place for a stretch if you have the height correctly adjusted. (I took out the bottom 1" slab.) Overall, a good product and one I'd recommend to others with similar issues. If you are uncertain about 'how' this product works on your neck, check out YouTube for some videos by chiropractors to learn more about how it can increase blood flow and encourage healthy curvature of the neck.

firm, but not painful
quick delivery - Product is very firm, but not so much as to be painful. This item is very expensive for what it is, but not what it does. That said, this seller's price lower than most.

You can adjust foam to your comfort level!
This is what my Chiropractor recommended for me to use and I use it about 20 to 45 minutes every day and put a curve back into your body and I feel absolutely amazing. There’s you can cut off different sections and make it smaller or

What I like most is the adjustability of the device. You can cut off the bottom layer seasily to make it lower and then once your neck has loosened up enough to put that bottom layer back on, you can do it easily using ruubber bands. If you had to take two layers off, you might never stretch your neck enough to put both back on, in which case not to worry -we all have different length necks.

The little piece of foam I received couldn't have cost more than 50c to make. Device doesn't seem to do anything at all, but if it is doing anything the exact same effect can be had by rolling up a towel instead of paying $50 for a little block of foam.

This product is very affordable, when compared to similar units. The height is adjustable by removing one or two removable layers that form the base. I replaced both layers using double sided tape, because the full height proved best for my build (6 feet tall). There are many detailed youtube videos posted by chiropractors; they demonstrate the use of similar products. They explain exact placement at the (top, middle, and base) of the cervical spine); the importance of gradual increases in the time used daily is explained. I started with 1 minute per day at each position, extending the time by an additional minute each day. I abandoned use at the base of my cervical spine because it was counterproductive. Three minutes each day at the middle and top is all that's required for my condition. Pain decrease dramatically after the very first session. I highly recommend short sessions; less is more; soreness is definitely counterproductive. Usage is suspended on any day that soreness develops. Range of motion has improved significantly. Note: A neurosurgeon removed bone trapping nerves at 3 levels of my cervical spine in 2011. Late in 2017, I developed pain and stiffness that has yielded nicely, with moderate use of this product.

Recommended by my chiropractor to get my head back into its natural position over my shoulders, not my chest, after many years of drafting board then computer use. Instruction for appropriate use needs supplemental explanation which is available on-line. Requires regular daily use and do not expect to be "comfortable" until you get used to the position and purpose. Just turn on some soothing music, hike up your knees and spread your arms as you lie prone on the floor to direct your body weight to the target area; build up duration of session to 1/2 hour after a week to 10 days and IT WORKS.
