I ordered these black out temp shades going into summer because the back of our home gets hit hard with sun in the summer & we have 20 year old windows that need replacing. The main reason for the black-out was getting my kids to bed while the sun was still out & it was a good call. This has been a great compromise to push out another year without replacing the windows! I didn't realize they would have the reflective coating on the backside which really helped with the heat in the summer & also now the cold in winter (we just left them up). Overall, great quality for the price and they've lasted way longer than I intended them to!

They can apply with double sided stickup tape to the top and they include a couple of clips to clip them up when you want to see out. You cut them to the size you want with scissors. Cut equal off each size, not off one side. The material isn't bad, for what you pay. there are no strings attached, get it, strings attached, Ha ha, ah hem.... the blinds are pre folded but in my application (not what normal installs would have) when I open the blind (mine open top down, not bottom up) the folds sort of not fold so the need help. not a biggie. ONE NOTE: They are shipped FOLDED IN HALF. That fold takes a long time to come back to shape. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you lay them on a table with something heavy on them for a week or two to help the blinds material come back to shape. when you install them, that fold will still be sort of visible but it does go away IN TIME...... great product and service

All the windows in my house are small and not standard. I have a spare bedroom that guests sometimes sleep in, and there is a street light that is very bright. I did not want to spend the money on custom shades, so I tried these. I like them very much. They're easy to cut to fit and install. My only complaint as others have mentioned is that they come folded in half and it is hard to get that fold out. Other than that, they work perfectly for my needs.

These were fine if you're looking for a 10 inch wide blind. I was not. The description stated it was 96"L x 79"W. I even asked Rufus to be sure - which was confirmed. What I received was the 10 inch blind. Not happy. Just be aware!

These are absolutely amazing and the price is great! I have purchased several of them now and they do not disappoint. The quality on them is great and definitely black out the room from the light.

No more Florida sun robbing me of my sleep in the mornings and making my apartment unbearably hot!
