When i finally figured out how to install an lock it into place on my wasr 10 ak47, I noticed it had movement from left to right which is useless for attaching anything having to do with accuracy. Also there was no locking mechanism or anything to keep the mount from sliding torwards the stock of the gun and becoming dettached. Complete waste of time an money

Seen another comment that happened to someone else, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, quick release lever snapped off and now IT WILL NOT COME OFF MY GUN.... Seriously disappointed. Not even worth one star.

This Revolution Essentials Side Rail Mounted Picatinny/Weaver rail is simple, sturdy, functional like the AK itself:). I tested this rail on my AK-47 (WASR-10), AK-74 and Saiga 12 and it works great. *It fits all standard AK side rails.*Disappointment with rail systems mostly comes down to two issues: Failure to mount correctly (recoil will shake it loose), and failure to understand that all optics need to be sighted in ("my rail is not pointing straight":))The trick to mounting it correctly is this:1 ~ Open the quick release2 ~ Push down on the spring that holds the clamp on the inside of the rail3 ~ Twist the nut (which has indents) to the furthest indent you can so that you can barely slide it onto the side rail.4 ~ With the quick release still open, push it onto the side rail. This should require some force. If not, adjust the "indented adjustment nut" to make the fit tighter.5 ~ When it is pushed all the way to the front of the rail (there is a small roll-pin stopping it from sliding too far, close the lever.6 ~ Closing the lever should take some, but not excessive force. If you can't do it with you bare hands you set it too tight.Sighting in your optics.A ~ Every rail / side-rail / rifle / scope combination is going to have a different orientation.B ~ This means that when you first put it on the aimpoint that is shown is meaningless. This is ok, just follow the steps below.C ~ First make sure the RAIL is tightly mounted, then make sure the OPTICS are tightly mounted.D ~ Use a bore sighter to get a rough idea (those things are NOT very accurate) of where the muzzle is pointing compared to the optics.E ~ Use the adjustments on the optics to aim at the bore sighter laser.F ~ Now its time to fire a test group. Start close by at 10 or 20 yards. Aim at the center of a large target and observe where the round are going. If the round are going high, adjust the reticle of the optics UP if the rounds are going to the right, adjust the reticle of the optics to aim more to the RIGHT.G ~ Keep following the actual positioning of the group with your optics adjustment until the group lands where you aim.H ~ Now more the target out and repeat the process. Make sure to use a bench rest or sled to make sure the problem is not located immediately behind the stock of the gun:).
