Hives can be stained or clear coated but why would you paint such a beautiful wood. Left in its natural state, Western Red Cedar weathers down with a lovely soft grey patina. This FULLY ASSEMBLED 10-FRAME beehive consists of: (2) Deep (9 5/8") hive bodies (2) Medium (6 5/8") supers (1) inner cover - spline jointed (1) top cover (galvanized clad) (1) reversible bottom board with 3/8" and 7/8" entrance (40) Frames are INCLUDED CONSTRUCTION All Hive bodies are constructed from 100% Western Red Cedar Top cover is clad in galvanized sheet metal. All Frames (40) are INCLUDED Hive bodies and supers are rabbet jointed, stapled, glued and screwed.
