Oboz Men's Sawtooth X Low B-DRY Hiking Shoes

Original Sawtooth II's Vs. these new Sawtooth X. I usually cringe at the thought of "the new version". The II was awesome. But, after getting these new Sawtooth X's, I must tell you all, they are better! A lot of the same feel for me. Better grip though. Equal or more comfort. As all Oboz, ready to be worn and no significant break in needed. I trail hike about 8 + hours a week in these. There were a lot of comments about a new trimmer shoe cut for the X. That worried me. These lace up better along the whole of the foot but for me, the toe box is slightly more roomier than that original II's which I'm so glad to report. I am a size 12 shoe but always buy 13 for hiking. Oboz, you continue to win us over with great design and feel and the X is a big win for you guys and us.

I wear these for daily use rather than hiking or other outdoor activities. They feel comfortable right out of the box, with no break-in period needed. The grip is solid on pavement and soil, and I won’t worry about snow anymore. As for sizing, they run true to size for me. I typically wear an 8.5, and the Oboz 8.5 fits perfectly. Amazon strongly recommended sizing up to a 9, so I ordered both 8.5 and 9 to compare. After trying them on, I’m confident there’s no need to go up half a size. I'm very happy about the purchase.

I found this shoe to be very good quality, but the insole inserts made my foot ride higher in the shoe and it felt like the sides did not come up high enough under my ankle and the laced front spread out more than it should have. When I removed the inserts, my foot set just right in the shoe, but the tradeoff is I lost the cushioning.

I tried both the Merrell Moab 3 and the Oboz Sawtooth X. The Moab felt more comfortable out of the box but the Sawtooth with it's leather upper had a much more solid and quality feel. After wearing it a few times it has broken in nicely and is now a very comfortable shoe that I have worn for many full-day hikes.

Oboz decided to highlight their 10 year anniversary with the X. They should have stayed with what worked. These fell apart in less than 2 months. The quality is not the same. The laces do not hold, the heel does not lock, and the sole separation started after 3 weeks.

Shopped 100s of shoes, bought and returned two other pairs on Amazon, and these finally fit like a 9.5 wide like my running shoes do. Wore these for our Alaskan cruise end of May/early June. I am roughly 275lbs, with flat feet, and I wore these around the towns and hiked a mild/medium trail (Rainbird hiking trail in Ketchikan, AK). My feet hurt at the end of the day a little, but nothing more than if I was on my feet all day in my running shoes. They did keep my feet dry from the elements, and yes they were pretty warm with normal one layer of socks. I would recommend these for staying warm and dry in cold/rain conditions, but hiking in warm/rain conditions you would sweat as much as you would if you had a pair that wasnt waterproof.

Extremely good quality but get ½ size larger than usual.I needed a slightly wider fit as well and these are perfect yet secure. Same for the boot type which I have previously bought. Well worth the money.

Unfortunately these did not fit and required return. I have purchased these shoes before so I know there are good quality. Communication between me and the seller was not functioning so I didn't receive a message for longer then expected. Once the seller found out the messages for return were not getting through, I was contacted immediately through Email. Arrangements were made for return of the product and my money refunded. Thanks to Outdoors Oriented for sticking with me though this purchase.

Tengo varios años usando la marca, desde el primer par me ha gustado, por su ajuste y agarre, actualmente tengo 2 pares y pronto compraré unas botas. La suela es buena y rígida, buen sistema B-dry ofrece impermeabilidad y duran bastante. Tengo un par de uso diario y otros de camping y senderos. Son los primeros que compro en línea, todo se ajusta a las especificaciones. Para mi Oboz son los mejores en su clase

Nice, Snug fit for me. And waterproof.

It might be prudent to buy next size up, i did not see any guidance regarding this, it might be there but either way consider next size up !
