Great ultra wide prime
I have only used it on a limited basis.. I got it for a wider alternative to my 20 mm prime and can use a circular filter... Lens is light and very well made.. Nice lens cap and nice smooth focus ring... Only thing I could complain about with my early review is that the focus lock is pretty tight... Images are very sharp but yet to test in direct sunlight so not sure how good the coating is at this point. Really excellent lens for the price and I am sure I will be using the lens quite a bit in the future.

Value for money
I used it go interior and landscape photography. The quality and the sharpness of the images is are good. One has to get use to manual focus it makes taking a picture a bit slower.

Best, fast, wide angle lens for the money!!
I’ve only had the 15mm f2.4 Firefly for 4 days and I will say this is the best lens I could have asked for for the money. I spent the weekend putting it to the test with a concert Friday and out catching a sunset Saturday. I’m very satisfied with the results and glad I got this fine piece of glass!! If your in the market for a good, cheap and fast wide angle lens. The IRIX 15mm is the way to go. Now I’m curious about the 11mm!! I’ll put a few photo’s in the review.

Great lens, I think? Unfortunately, I seem to be stuck with a dud.
Update: I heard back from my email finally, and they asked me to email their US arm. Strangely, the Amazon support link for the manufacturer goes to the wrong site. Anyhow, heard back from F-service Service Center and they are asking me to ship the lens to Poland for warranty repair, with shipping cost being my responsibility. Now, I understand I took a while to realize the lens is defective, but I'm looking at a third of the cost of the lens to ship it to Poland insured via a reputable shipper. Add to that customs and the possibility they will not fix it and they may charge me return shipping? It's not worth the gamble or hassle, IMO. Reducing my review to 1 star due to convoluted and nebulous customer service on top of poor quality control. Original Review: I bought this lens back in August with the hopes of using it for night sky photos and wider landscapes. I took some quick test shots, didn't not do any pixel peeping and thought, "Ok, it works." Then it sat for a few months until I had a chance to put it to use. After I shot some night sky shots, I started zooming in and realized that basically, nothing is in focus, despite trying zoom-in focusing and focus peaking, etc. I looked back at my original photos and zoomed in, and the focus was soft on those too. Unfortunately, my return window ship sailed long ago. That's on me. But I did try to reach out to Irix through their website contact form (which is where the Amazon "contact the manufacturer" link goes), and then when I did not receive a response within a few days, I sent an email to the email address listed on their website last week. Still no response. Now I am stuck with a lens that does not focus and it's pretty disappointing. Other than the focus issues, the lens was plenty bright for the stuff I was doing, and had a decent image quality. If I get a response from their support folks and/or a warranty return/repair, I'll update the review. In the meantime, I've purchased a different lens from a different manufacturer, which also seemed to suffer from the same QC issue. I returned that and ordered a replacement and it's working great now. Third time's a charm, I guess.

Light fall of is stronger than I like - but for the price it's s good compromise.
This was a used lens from Adorama. It was stated as very good and I would rate it excellent. As for the lens itself, I found that light fall was much stronger than anticipated. Lightroom fixes most of it, but it really has strong vignetting wide open and at F4. Image quality is good a is contrast. Less so than my Nikons but ok. Edges are soft at F2.4 and F4 but improve at F5.6. I found the lens construction for the Firefly version to be very good. Solid, with no play at all. Focus is heavily damped and works nicely on manual mode of a Z6.

Lines were more vertical and brightness seemed better controlled with Nikon lens
A brief peek at Irix 15mm Firefly by an amateur photographer. Took some photos against the mighty Nikon 14-24mm and in opinion the Irix 15mm held up fairly well. Lines were more vertical and brightness seemed better controlled with Nikon lens. Corner sharpness is slightly better with Nikon. Impressed with the Iris 15mm for the money and would really be interested in seeing how the colors look with an additional filter added. Please see the included untouched photos taken with a Nikon D600 body. The first three photos are Irix 15mm, next 3 are Nikon 14-24mm, and last is a comparison with Iris on LT and Nikon on RT. With some minor post processing, this lens holds up very well. Hope this review helps out.

Beware of this great deal.
This lens takes photos and that's about it. This lens can not focus perfectly on one point. The photos are the complete opposite of sharp, they are all very soft. I've tried night photos and then I've tried controlled light photos where I adjeusted ISO shutter and aperture to many different settings and still couldn't get a good photo. The corner distortion in this lens is absolutely horrendous and when you apply lens correction in Lightroom it makes it worse. I really wanted this lens to be great but I isn't. Maybe I got a bad lens but overall I would highly advise against buying this lens.

Nice, but...
I was very excited to get my hands on this lens after seeing some images it produced and hearing about cool features like the infinity focus click-stop, making it great for astrophotography in the dark. Unfortunately, the focus is really, really soft. I tried it on a few different bodies, and I consistently had to stop down to f/7.1 to get anything close to sharpness, at any focus distance - which is fine under most circumstances, particularly given how much better sensors have gotten in the last few years, allowing us to bump ISO to compensate. But if you're hoping to get a quick f/2.4 for pointing at the stars or other low light settings, the reality is that while the lens can technically reach that big an aperture, f/5.6 is about the best you can do if you want to have the blobs you'll get be semi-recognizable. That said, I am impressed with the exceptionally smooth function of the lens in spite of its limitation, and the clarity of the images it does produce at smaller apertures. I've used it for everything from sunsets to group photos to fireflies, and I have yet to see any noticeable chromatic aberration under any circumstances. It produces the most vibrant, detailed images I've ever seen in a wide angle lens, and while there is a bit of distortion from the wide angle, as one must expect, it's surprisingly small and easily corrected if you've a mind to do so. Overall: You have to stop it way down to make it come alive, but if you can live with that - it's worth it.

Ouf !!!

The focus ring has a nice feel, not being sloppy and the outer ring ...
I have an old Nikon D5200 and wanted a lens for use with astro-photography. I spent ages looking at lens reviews but was put off by the 5 star/1 star reviews of the Samyang and it's rebadged versions. The Samyang seems to suffer on soft edges and incorrect focus markings (infinity not being infinity) I looked at reviews about the Irix and have seen stunning shots by local photographers. I was put off by it not being autofocus but I shouldn't have worried, particularly as I am a landscape photographer so tend to only need infinity focus. The lens arrives in a very fancy white box. Taking off the lid and the lens is perfectly packaged to stop it banging around. The lens comes with a soft bag, lens caps and lens hood. It looks and feels well-made particularly next to the plastic, cheapo kit lens. Initially a bit stiff to put onto the camera, but this has eased. The focus ring has a nice feel, not being sloppy and the outer ring can lock the focus ring so it doesn't accidently move. On an APS-C sensor, this gives a 22.5mm focal length which is fantastic. The sharpness blows the other lenses away and gives a nice wide-angle view - it's just what you need for that extra few mm. I guess on a full-frame this will be even better.
