Can I put cockroaches in this?

You’d be better off using a storage bin cheaper and they work get a clear one if u want it to be see thru but most importantly get a bin that is smooth on the Inside some roaches can climb the rough bins

Can snails live in this?

I kept tiny moss snails in mine with no problem. I had to use aquarium sealant on the seams for the bottom 2 or 3 inches so that when I put dirt in it and planted moss, I could water it without it leaking. But it was worth the small amount of trouble to do this. And the snails did great because I only sealed it near the bottom. The upper part of the seams still had small gaps so there was enough air flow for my snails. Shelly C.

Concerned the reviews are saying this is not water tight. Is there a tray that I could buy with it? I am having trouble finding anything suitable.

I bought these and they fit perfectly. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NAPILXD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
