I bought this for my dad. It was in good condition.

This book is a repackage of short stories I’d read before bin other L’Amour books. They are solid western tales. The caveat is be sure you’ve not read them before.

Wonderful stories. Good conquers evil and heroes who don't give up. I like the good character traits of the western heroes.

What a wonderful collection! I enjoy all of L'Amour's books but I come back to the short stories often. I've read these at least three times and will probably read them again. They seem simple, straight up yarns, which they are. But they run deep. They are subtle and deceptively well crafted. He was an amazing author who set the bar very high. The historical authenticity is priceless. Wonderful!

At first I did not like the idea of reading short stories (3). However, the author made a believer of me. The stories were well written and had unanticipated endings. The book was a good change of pace for an old " long novel" reader. It was well worth the effort.

Never disappointed in Louis' stories.Plenty of action and solid background with well defined characters. Compact story telling and descriptions.

I am usually not a short story fan because just when they get started, they are over. These, however, were more like what I think of as a novella, longer than a short story but shorter than a novel. I did thoroughly enjoy this book.

Any fans of L'Amour or westerns will enjoy these short stories, good yarns and adventures that just leave you wanting more.
