Should of bought these first!
Having tried the rubber versions as recommended, saw these on a search.They are immediately more stable, no seat moving, bought more for other toilet, and spares!

Done the job nicely
Was concerned that they might not fit properly, but so far nice tight fit and hold seat exactly as required

Moving toilet seat
I like the fact they are tightened using a large Posidrive screwdriver, I used the stubby/short one.I still had to wrap some rubber around them to pack them out because of the size of the holes also, to stop them slipping/spinning.

Secure that Seat
Fed up of the strruggles to tighten the nut under the toilet so tried these secured with ease when fitting and never had a problem since

Not as good a fit as the original.
The material used is of inferior quality. Difficult to fit them without twisting. The seat remained a bit loose. This is probably the same for numerous similar fittings offered on Amazon.

Far from perfect
Bought these as the two metal fittings on my Mothers top fitting toilet seat suddenly snapped (due to moisture and rust). Found they didn't provide the sort of purchase I wanted to firmly hold the toilet seat down as their design is somewhat flawed. What I discovered is that by screwing the metal screws/bolts into the plastic thread holders a number of times trying to get better purchase caused the fitting to become loose (because the plastic thread becomes damaged). So fortunately as I was provided with a second set of fittings I only tightened the screws once the second time round and managed to get a reasonably tight fitting (but not as firm as I would have liked). The fittings have held firm now for 5 weeks but we rarely lift the toilet seat so as not to put extra leverage/pressure on the fittings as they are no where near robust enough for my likening.
