This has been an excellent wine key for home use. I can't speak to how it would hold up in a professional restaurant environment where it might open dozens of bottles every night, but for regular home use it's been a great tool. The first thing I noticed was the overall build quality. Unlike some of the cheaper wine keys I've owned, this one doesn't feel loose, flimsy, or overly flexible. Everything feels solid and well put together, which makes opening a bottle smoother and more predictable. What I like: * sturdy construction * smooth operation * comfortable to use * quality feel * good value for the money One surprise for me was the double-hinge design. I've used double-hinge wine keys before and never really understood why people preferred them. They always felt awkward and slower than they were worth. For whatever reason, this one finally made it click. The action feels natural, the leverage works well, and extracting corks is noticeably easier than with many of the simpler openers I've used. If you're a regular wine drinker, you probably already know that a good wine key can make a surprisingly large difference in the experience. Opening a bottle isn't something most people think about until they're fighting with a poorly designed corkscrew. This one avoids those frustrations. It feels durable, operates smoothly, and does exactly what a wine key should do without drawing attention to itself. For home use, I think it's an excellent choice and a noticeable step up from the bargain-bin openers that tend to end up in kitchen drawers. After using it, I have a much better appreciation for a well-made double-hinge wine key.

I use this almost everyday at work as a bartender. Its well made, looks great, and has yet to break. The size is pretty standard but it feels great in the hand and is fun to show off.

This wine key works great for opening any bottle of wine, but there’s a big but, and two little ones: the first being simply cosmetic and easily remedied with a little glue. The side plates that make the marble look, came off soon after I bought it, but I just glued them back on no problem. The second “but” is that I find that not many people (including myself) are not fans of it being spring loaded on the part that goes agains the lip of the bottle, so just be aware of that. Lastly, if it matters to you, the bottle opener takes caps off by tilting in towards the bottle instead of pulling the cap off and away. I find it to not be as ergonomic but I’m nitpicking. I only gave 4 stars because of the side plates but it’s really sturdy and it has a nice aesthetic

I loved it's perfect for my job

I have been using inexpensive 2 stage wine openers from Trader Joe's and others for years. I find them easy to use and really like them. A couple months ago I misplaced the Trader Joe's opener and had to use a freebie one stage wine opener- what a pain. Then while traveling I bought another cheap one stage wine opener from Walmart and it was even worse- the metal prongs actually bent after a couple bottles making it impossible to get the cork out. Long story short, I wanted to go for quality so I bought this and it is easy to see and feel the difference. I am very happy with the purchase. It not only feels better in my hand, it works better. It is so easy to open even a tough bottle. The knife cuts through the foil easily- I think I underappreciated that feature in the past- and the cork screw really slides in a lot better. I bought a couple other inexpensive, not cheap, corkscrews to have for camping* and backup, but this is definitely going to be the one I use the most. * I do have multi-purpose / swiss army knives that have a corkscrew for camping and I can use them, but they are difficult to use some bottles and when drinking wine I prefer to be relaxed when opening the wine :)

I wasn't sure about this wine opener at first. I had been used to my old one that was stolen, so this one felt tight and awkward when I first got it. But now that I've used it a few times it's the easiest most effective wine bottle opener I've ever had. And if I work a bartending shift, I might open 10 - 12 bottles a night. It's the perfect size if it's perfectly in my hand. The pull up part when you're popping the cork is so smooth. It makes opening any wine bottle easy and it looks beautiful. I chose the black handle, but it also comes in wood grain.

Just got this today. What a lovely, well engineered tool. I noticed reviews of other corkscrews mentioned poor finish and flaws. Not with this one, it is a delight to see and comfortably smooth to hold. At this price it’s a steal and you can’t go wrong.

I love drinking wines, love its tools as well.
