Dayton Audio PC105-8 4" Full-Range Poly Cone Driver

Very nice speakers with a very pliable cone and large magnet. Solid connection terminals not loose like many other speakers. Has a nice fiber washer embedded in the front of the speaker to eliminate rattle against mounting.

I purchased Them to retrofit an awful pair of AudioSource Ls300 speakers. Upgrade was excellent. These are full range drivers, need a subwoofer though. Great purchase, My speakers went from trash to keeper.

Works great for a large Bluetooth speaker I made Good bass and mids but the high range is a little thin to my ears

I am not saying they are Revel, B&W, or Mission's current top of the line quality mid ranges but they are far better than most at this price range. I have seen a few hobby builder posts that don't always give these Dayton speakers enough credit. I have been running M&K 5.25'' mids that were used in Mission, Energy, and of course M&K high end speaks back from the early days of THX certified speakers. The PC series 4''can hold its own (in a 3 or 4 way system) vs using the old M&K 5.25's and thats a good surprise. Installed sealed in a .16 cuft3 enclosure with 3'' fiber glass pack at the opposite chamber wall and light poly stuffed in the remainder. This is for a tw-m-mw-w design with electronic crossover. I did not find a 1-2K spike but a mild bump in the frequency response curve with this enclosure.

I have a vintage KLH 200 Stereo Table Radio with the extension speaker. I use it on my desk to listen to the radio and use the AUX port to listen to music on my computer. I always wondered if it would sound better with new speakers. The Dayton Audio speakers are deeper but the mounting dimensions are just about perfect for the box. The old speakers were 6 ohms and these are 8 but I knew it would be OK and not stress the amplifier to go with higher impedance. They worked well, slightly less SPL but the mid is a LOT less honky, the top end is way more natural and the low end is slightly better. Overall it is a great improvement for a few just dollars. If you have old audio gear with a 4" speaker try the Dayton Audio speaker in 4 or 8 ohms version for an upgrade.

Amazingly clear and full. Massive magnet. Very noticeable upgrade over the Clarions I installed in a Koss cabinet years ago.

I really like these speakers. I used them in a home arcade machine I put together. They sound good seem really nice. They are only being powered by a cheap amp but it all works extremely well together.

I’m sure the speakers would have worked nicely had I received them. Still working through a refund almost a month later. Update: Finally got it worked out with Parts Express. There was a mid-shipment issue where I got some screws instead of speakers.. speakers. Speakers work great as retrofits! Much better than the original speakers. 4 stars (took 1 away for the mis-shipment issue).

自作のバックロードホーンのボックスに取り付けました。バックロードホーンのおかげだと思いますが、低音がしっかり出てくれます。中高音の音色も十分ではないかと思います。

古いスピーカーのミッドレンジが壊れたので思い切って交換しました。加工は必要でしたが今風の解像度の高い音質に激変しました。知識は無いのでネットワークはそのままですが大変効果があり満足しています。

MVH-6600でのマルチ接続で軽トラに取り付けました。10cmスピーカーとしてはバランスよく低音が出て繋がりも良いと思います。
