These two books are the same (or very similar) and by same author. I ordered both not realizing this. Will send "Secret Signs" back.

I purchased this book from Seattle goodwill for $6.83. Its titled element encyclopedia of secret signs and symbols. It is hard cover and a very good deal. I thought I had already reviewed this book, I was mistaken. This is one of the first book I purchased on my new journey in life, and this book really opened my eyes. This book has everything in it from astrology to numerology, and in between. I already read it once I'm going to go through it again, because it is a reference keep forever book for me. It explains meaning of words, your name, your birth date, and so mush more. This book is easy for beginners to understand.

This book is a good resource for those who seek a better understanding of the origin of symbols used around us every day. A symbol stands for something else; usually something invisible, or secret. I am particularly interested in recognizing esoteric meanings of symbols (and/or signs) that appear in logos. Most people who design the logos know exactly what they're doing, and many organizations use these particular logos and symbols intentionally because they know precisely what is represented. The average person may be unaware of what is being symbolically portrayed and not everyone who uses the logos understands the symbology or the meanings behind the symbols. I found this book to be good because it has simple descriptions and clarifies aspects of symbols along with illustrations. It is not an exhaustive resource for researching symbols, but I consider it a good book to have in my library. I gave 4 stars rather than 5 because of the brevity of this book.

Expected more photos and bigger book , however the book is well worth it with plenty of knowledge and wisdom to learn about our various cultures and world. a well thank you to the writers and publisher for an outstanding book.

I got the hardcover and it's bigger than an average book and has a good amount of weight to it. Regular pen and SD card use for comparison.

It seems to be a nice book but as I have not read it I cannot speak for its accuracy. I bought the book for the art motifs and on this count, it is pretty useless. Still, I may get around to reading parts of it now and again. I bought it used and at a very good price. Had I paid full price for it, I would be horrified.

I bought this book as a reference about symbols and their origins. Its filled with plenty of insightful and great information but the bad thing is you have to flip through page after page after page to get to a specific symbol so that's why I gave it three stars.

I came by this title in the Library and found the presentation, quality and content excellent! The encyclopedia covers a long history and wide geographical use of symbols, providing concise and surprisingly interesting facts for a reference book. A must buy, for my starter challenge.

Surprisingly good, so much so that Ive ordered another one straight away as a gift. The erudition of the author comes across clearly. I have many books on signs and symbols yet this one encompasses a lot of knowledge. Ranges across Kabbalah, Asian and Oriental and Western signs and symbols. Highly recommended. Many thanks to the author for putting this much needed book together.

I loved this book so much read it all. I now use it for a reference. This has great information. If your interested in this. This book is a must have for your collection. I highly recommend

If your into De coding and have the time this is a good book to brows through, interesting read.
