If you buy the set of the tweezers, do they have a case or some sort of container to keep them in?

My set did not! I drilled holes in 4x4" block of wood for easy access while soldering.

These are more for craft and jewelry type work. I would get Tweezer Man brand for grooming. They have several models.

will these work for placing tiny crystals onto magnets? Thanks.

The tips on these are very thin. It might be difficult to grab a crystal. I would probably use something with wider tips.
