WOBANE 16.4ft Motion Sensor LED Strip with Remote,Warm White Tape Lighting

I bought 3 sets of these for 3 areas of countertop runs in my kitchen. The underside of my cabinets are not flat thru the entire run. The bottoms are recessed about an inch from the frames, so where 2 cabinets abut each other, the framework interrupts that flat, recessed underside. That the underside is recessed is great, because that allows the lights and sensor to be hidden, but I needed to drill holes (horizontally) thru the framework in order to thread the lightstrip through along the entire length. Spend the time testing placement before you drill or mount anything. I just used scotch tape to test several layouts. Do this first before peeling off the adhesive backing on the strip, because the adhesive is strong and readjustment once they're mounted will be tough and may damage the lights or your cabinets. I mounted the lightstrip under the front edge of my cabinets because if mounted closer to the wall, they are visible from vantage points in the room. These strips are 16ft long, but none of the stretches of my countertops are close to having a 16ft run. Once you cut a strip, the excess is not usable. I didn't want to waste, so I just doubled up. I adhered the strip as close to the front edge of the underside as I could. When I reached the end of the run, I sort of made a u-turn with the length and stuck it right next to the other strip but on the frame this time. In other words, running the first way, the strip is on the underside with lights pointing straight down on the countertop. When I made that u-turn at the end, I stuck the strip on the frame lip with the lights pointing back toward the wall. It's not the neatest transition in that u-turn end corner because I didn't want to damage the strip by making the crease/fold too severe. It's not visible up in the end corner at all though, so unless you contort yourself and stick your head up and under the cabinet, you won't see any of it. The motion sensor is very sensitive. In fact, I needed to play with the directional mounting of these so they wouldn't turn on with movement in the next room. I didn't want to have to crazily wave my hands under them to activate, but I also didn't want them turning on when I just stood up on the other side of the room. Play with the direction that you point the sensor and that will help. I also stuck a small piece of translucent scotch tape on the sensor closest to the family room just to desensitize that one a bit. That worked well. It took some time to get these right, but I am so, so happy with them.

Adhesive stays working for a long time! Comes with a manual on where to not put it. That being said, I've had it for at least 6 months, after the first led burned out, they started chain burning out. It lasts a lot longer with the light setting set to the lowest setting. The remote is the only way to change the light levels, we lost the remote for a while and it was stuck at the highest level for a while. If the power goes out, it auto resets to the highest light level.

This item worked out perfectly to adhere under the shelves in my small walk in closet; it increased the the volume of extra lighting significantly! It has a motion detector, remote, color change options, perfect lighting set for what I needed!

these shouldn’t be so difficult to figure out how to use. simply wanted a motion light to activate in the middle of the night incase we needed to wake up and use the restroom. the light is so bright and there is no way to dim it. the buttons on the remote literally do not work to adjust the brightness so it’s at 100% at 3am. Not sure if it’s a faulty one or if they’re all like this but i’m extremely unhappy.
