LEABAGS Oxford Neon genuine buffalo leather messenger bag in vintage style

I was extremely hesitant about purchasing this bag, however I have been thoroughly impressed. I purchased the black which is closer to a dark slate which I like. The feel is extremely soft but almost rubbery. The straps, magnets and hooks are all bronze. The inside material is a black felt like material. I was surprised at how many pockets are within this bag... 6. One zip in the front as you open up the magnetic section which is the size of two iPad Mini's. Then the main storage area has a zipper (with pull-tab for ease) to protect contents. In the inside main compartment is an iPad sized pocket with a small Velcro tab (which annoyed me; why use magnets everywhere else but here?? Cost cutting I guess...). Attached to this pocket is a pocket large enough for an external hard-drive / phone, followed by a slimmer pocket for a small cable I guess, followed by 3 pen loops which fit up to a sharpie in width (snug). Then the main compartment area which is more than sufficient for a laptop, and a couple of thin folders / books. Next to that is another iPad sized zipped in the side wall. Now on the outside is a hidden magnetic closing sleeve for larger documents (newspaper I guess). Then on the exterior is another dual iPad Mini sized zipper pocket. The strap is so-so but like one user stated; this can be cut off and replaced however the conundrum is why am I paying a bunch of money for an item that is not perfect... Well, nothing will be perfect but this professional, clean-looking messenger bag is something that more than satisfied my needs and is definitely worth the money.

Overall a really nice bag. For the price though, I felt it could have been a little bit nicer. Most of the panels are two pieces of leather sewn together instead of a single piece (cost saving measures). The main flap on the front is ever so slightly a different color from the rest of the bag although I'm sure that 99% of people couldn't tell. It is hard to tell from the photos, but the hardware is brass/bronze colored, not silver/grey.I really like the size and proportions of the bag. It is a snug fit for my 15.4" laptop, charger, iPad, and some magazines, but not too small by any means, just no room for anything extra (which is probably good since I would probably try to fill it with something else). A charger is hard to fit in the bag as there really isn't much room for it anywhere. I would have preferred a bag that was about 2" taller so I would button the back pocket with the magazines and store my charger above or below my laptop.Would definitely purchase again, I love the color, and it looks like it will last for many years to come.

I've been looking for a men's leather messenger bag for awhile now. I saw this one and liked the color and size (at least in the photo provided). I ordered the crazyvinkat variety because the color looked very nice. When the product arrived it was considerably lighter in color than the image and the patterns clearly noticeable in the product image here were almost nonexistent. If you look at the crazyvinkat bag here, it looks like it has a nice blend of dark and lighter (but still dark) colors. Mine wasn't even close. I thought perhaps they made a mistake and shipped me one of their solid, lighter colored bags, but they didn't.The size was also a negative for me. I feel the image on here that shows a man with the bag on his shoulder must have been taken with a very small man. Plus if you look at it, the perspective is really misleading, and the man seems to be pushing the bag out from his body with his forearm. This bag is small. I bring a 64oz kleen kanteen to work everyday and it would fit only by bulging out the sides.The bags construction and quality of leather seemed to be very good, thus why I'm giving 2 stars. I feel some people will read my review and not be concerned about the bags color or size, so I will say that the bag seems well made. Leather smells good, zippers seemed to be of good quality. I almost would go three stars for these reasons.I decided on two because I feel they aren't being honest or accurate about their sizing and colors. With the bag being lighter in color and much smaller than I anticipated, this bag didn't have a unisex feel to me. It felt like a purse. It felt feminine, which isn't a bad thing, unless that's not what you're looking for. I wasn't, so I returned the bag.

Many users have complained 1.about the lack of a handle to carry the bag one-handed, 2.the leather staining clothing and 3.the magnetic snaps being difficult to close.My solution to the first two issues has been quite simple.I shortened the strap to the minimum possible length, I can now carry the bag single hand while the bottom edge of the bag is at mi-calf.The strap loop is still long enough to allow shoulder carry while the forearm rests quite comfortably on top of the bag in a natural horizontal position.The strap can be lengthened very quickly to a spot that I have marked on it when I wish to cross carry the bag.Then I rubbed two coats of a high quality leather conditioner on the outside surfaces. As a result the leather has softened, it looks richer, the vintage look has improved and there is zero staining. I will be repeating the application a few more times and I expect that the leather will soften further.The bag has a manly size, it looks good, it has pockets in all the right places, the zippers are solid and the flap is long enough to stay in place without the aid of the magnetic snaps.3 stars overall (it is not a Hermes, OK?) but 5 stars when the low price is factored in.

Update:ich habe bei der ersten Tasche bemängelt, dass die Öffnungsschnalle forne sehr hart und unwertig erscheint. Zudem fande ich das Leder sehr steif und nicht wertig. Ein weiterer Kritikpunkt war, dass der Tragegurt nicht sehr wertig erschien und eigenschaften eines Anschnallgurtes aus dem PKW ähnelt.Darauf hin schickte mir einige Monate später der Verkäufer eine neue Tasche.Diese hatte ein serh schönes, weiches Leder mit einer neuen Öffnungsschnalle (forderer Teil der Tasche). Die Qualität ist komplett neu überarbetiet und macht jetzt einen ganz anderen Eindruck.Zudem sendete der Verkäufer mit einen Brief - Handgeschrieben!Mit der Frage, ob mir die Tasche nun so gefällt.Ich muss sagen, dass der Hersteller alle meine Kritikpunkte aufgenommen hat. Ich vermute zwar, dass ich nicht der einzige war, der die Punkte bemängelt hat. Jedoch spielt das für mich keine Rolle, denn meine Anliegen wurden gehört und verbessert.Daher ändere ich heir meine Bewertung und gebe für diesen Service volle Punkzahl!Alles in Allem hat Leabags jeden meiner Kritikpunkte aufgenommen und verbessert. Ich habe zu jeder Produktänderung einen von Hand! geschriebenen Brief bekommen und konnte die abgeänderten Produkte ausgiebig testen.Zunächst dachte ich, dass der detaillierte Rezession keine Beachtung geschenkt wird. Jedoch wurde ich hier sehr positiv vom Gegenteil überzeugt. Die Firma Leabags hat bewiesen, dass es sogar Service beim Internet-vertrieb geben kann! Ich werde jeder Zeit wieder bei Leabags tolle Lederprodukte kaufen. Denn hier weis ich, dass der Kunde noch wirklich König ist!Grüße RB

This is the second bag I have returned, clearly, I am not getting the hand-finished that I was paying for at this cost. The rest of the bag was well made, however, the strap was stitched uneven and leather cut at an angle. And falling apart before I've used it. Might be better to look for a different option.

(Mrs O is reviewing)I bought this for my partner as a 40th gift (he wanted a nice bag) and was crossing my fingers that the quality would be sufficient. I was not disappointed. I feel that the price accurately reflects the quality. It looks like a £180 bag and I probably would have paid that for it, had it not been on sale for £60 less.Obviously he hasn't had it for very long, so it has not been time tested, but on inspection, everything is well made and carefully considered. There are plenty of pockets and compartments for storage, the leather strap is backed with with canvas webbing. (useful, as many of the bags I looked at had problems with leather treatment/dye rubbing off on clothing) and there is a zip closure as well as magnetic clasps to keep it shut.The strap can be shortened to half the length as nothing prevents the buckle from moving along it.It was bought as a work bag and is big enough to to fit a 15" laptop and A4 clipboard as well as other items. (Though it's not a laptop bag so I don't know if you could expect the straps to take the strain of one, daily.) In my opinion it's an excellent quality, beautiful, but very functional bag that I expect to look better with age, and to last. No doubt I will update if this is not the case.I feel the one star review is unfair, given that there is no comment on the actual bag. It makes an impressive gift and Mr O loves it, which is obviously the most important thing. No regrets.(Dvd and 6'2" man included in photos for scale.)(In case anyone wonders about my purchasing ability, my family own a designer handbag/accessories boutique. I'm not a noob.)

This is a fantastic bag, beautifully made and exuding quality throughout. The company are also top class and I really appreciated the personal email they sent to me after I had ordered the bag from Amazon.I ordered the nutmeg leather Oxford messenger bag. The leather is beautiful and already 'vintage' looking as promised. It is also a perfect size for what I needed; not for a laptop but a daily work and weekend leisure bag. There is fine attention to detail right down to the lining and stitching.Just perfect.

Beautiful quality soft leather. This was a gift last Christmas and after a year it’s still in perfect condition, just starting to take on a bit of character. All stitching has lasted well despite being used daily.A really good quality item. Well worth the price tag.
