Build quality is excellent on both of these STEM cars.
Built both these cars, one remote controlled battery operated, the other solar-powered, with my two grandsons this past weekend. The four year old was excited to help gather parts and assemble the easier parts like axels and wheels. The six year old was able, with guidance, to assemble almost all the parts, including connecting the motor and wires. Everyone was quite excited to see both cars work so beautifully. They inspired hours of conversation about electricity, grids, solar power, how it all works, etc. All parts, wood and metal, plastic and rubber are very durable and accurately machined to easily fit and stay together. Highly recommend this excellent kit for curious scientific minds.

Kids loved it.
We painted our cars before putting them together and it just added to the fun! It did require a bit of figuring it out but, isn't that why we by toys like these. I recommend to set aside some time (it took each of my kids a different length of time) to finish.

Seriously good value for price
I couldn’t believe the value of this for the price. This is an excellent kit. Everything you need to make the solar car and rc car are included. My kids were so excited seeing them come to life

Great Toy for a Curious KId
Great fun to put together! You only need a small screwdriver and batteries. The 8 yr old did most if it himself. One of our electrical boards didn't quite work right (on the report control), which probably just happens. We had fun learning how to tell which part was not working.

Super cool!!!
What an amazing gadget! A complete hit for my six-year-old’s birthday!!!! my son preferred to not put the top accessories on for it was just looks! He likes to see the inner workings super cool!

Not quite a waste of money spent
The solar-powered car worked fine but the RC car never moved an inch even though the directions were checked and double checked. Be prepared to waste your money

Sturdy and fun
4 stars because it’s not all that easy to create! My son took over putting it together because Oma was getting frustrated. Grandsons loved them. They really work and really go fast! The solar one is fun to see it stop in the shade and zoom in hot sun. Kids are 5 and 9.
