Great little tool
It is very compact which is great for a BOB. It is sturdy. The illustration is a bit misleading though. Some of the items are enlarged to show what they are. So don't get freaked when they aren't as big as depicted in the photo. It folds very nicely and fits beautifully in the provided case. This will obviously protect whatever bag you carry it in from being torn or cut by the edges. It is really great

Good shovel for what I needed!
Keep in mind that this is a small shovel. It's not designed to dig out a swimming pool. I wanted something very small to be able to collect soil samples. This shovel is perfect. I can dig into hard soil just fine. If you want to store it in the pouch, it takes a little effort to unscrew all the handle pieces. I just leave mine assembled, which is fine for my purpose. But it does store nicely in the pouch.

This is both a good and bad thing
its smaller than the picture gives it credit for. This is both a good and bad thing. Compared to the Glock Shovel, the head is about 50% smaller. It is a tiny package which can do a lot, and fits in a lot of places. It appears decently made, and will actually decent for certain applications (hard clay, dirt, digging out snow from under the wheel) where larger "snow shovels" will have a harder time reaching. On the bad side, it will not move a large amount of snow quickly, and thus, not good for loose powdery stuff. I give it a 4 out of 5, as while it is kinda "cheap"feeling, it actually isn't any worse than the milsurplus folding shovels sold in army navy stores, includes some survival items, and is actually kinda useful. The bag that it came is is cheap, but the Glock shovel isn't that much better- also feels cheap!! If you want a great shovel, consider a wood handle military shovel, or even a sears mini spade. But as an emergency shovel that can be shoved in the trunk, this is pretty hard to beat.

Very nice little shovel for field travel
Built solid and ready to be abused. Small enough to be easily packed away when it's all collapsed. The only possible problem is the threads between each sections of the handle are too fine. Once any sand or dirt gets in there it might get a lot harder to put them together or take them down quickly as designed. The other concern is it IS heavy. Update: took the shovel on a hiking trip to VT. when I packed I took off top section of handle and some unnecessary accessories and the weight is not a concern anymore.

Some good some bad
I just received the shovel yesterday and while it appears to be well made, the carrying case it comes in is not. I put my finger in the belt loop to get a belt started and the stitching pulled out without any effort at all. The manufacturer needs to look into making the case tougher since this is supposed to be used out in the woods. It definitely would not hold up while running. Looking forward to trying out the tool otherwise. Hopefully I wonโt find any other issues with it.

Super versatile for emergency use
I live in an area with lots of snow, Ice and mud. I have a two-wheel drive compact pickup that is light in the back end so gets stuck easily. If I find myself stuck in snow/ice I use this to dig a little out in front of the back tire, then use a foldable metal traction mat to give my tire something to grip. This folds up into a small case so doesn't take up much room. Perfect for my winter emergency kit along with the traction mat, a 15 ft. tow rope, and a small hydraulic jack. And way cheaper than buying a 4-wheel drive truck for the two-three times a year I need it, LOL

Better quality than expected
Like the coating of it, I didn't expect the coating to be so smooth. Also the handle is steady when locked in place. In order to get ready for SHTF, you gonna need a survival knife, a small spade, some antibiotics and some filter straws etc in your backpack. This is kind of bare minimum size for this purpose. There was a video of military spade for PRC and that one is really impressive, but too large as it is for sappers.

Well thought out Design
Had it for a few months now and its holding up to the abuse well. I mostly have used it as a hoe or pick and it makes it easy but what impressed me was the details, if using the shovel straight out the pick becomes added grip. The size fits/feels good there it's a small shovel so you couldn't use it like that all day but for a compact camping/survival tool this is it.

Best performance. Affordable.
Amazing! Used a lot of camping and outdoor stuff. Best in its class . Grease is polished all over product in begining. It is slippery at first. Then after washing it's okay. Could have added a hand tether .

Very happy with my purchase High quality Have already tested it building wetlands at Hauz Khas Lake. Withstood everything I could throw at it. Digging , moving earth, shaping bunds, tamping earth and chopping. Worked great.
