| Recommended Uses For Product | 1) Filling the tank Before first use, remove all packaging, including the protective cover on the soleplate. Make sure the iron is not plugged in. Set the steam switch to off. Fill the water tank via the filling hole. To fill the tank with the maximum amount of water, we recommend the iron is tilted vertically whilst being filled. Do not overfill the iron otherwise it will cause leaking from around the filler cap and may run down the iron. WE RECOMMEND THE USE OF DEIONISED, DISTILLED OR DEMINERALISED WATER., 2) Charging base Plug in the charging base and switch on at the mains. The charging base power light will illuminate. Rest the iron on its heel on the charging base, ensuring that the heel connector meets the charging base connector. Connection is made when the power indicator light on the handle illuminates. Wait until the iron reaches the desired temperature, then commence ironing. Throughout your ironing session, the iron MUST be replaced onto the charging base every few seconds or whenever you adjust your garments, to keep the heat topped up., 3) Temperature Selection Set the temperature dial to the temperature required (see 'Temperature Guide'). The temperature indicator light will illuminate red until the required temperature is reached, then it will turn green. NOTE: It is normal for the temperature indicator light to flicker between red and green whilst the temperature cycles up and down during charging. Tip: We recommend the temperature indicator light is allowed to cycle red and green twice before you begin ironing. The temperature indicator light and the power indicator light will switch on and off whilst you are ironing and replacing the iron on the base., 4) Switching on the steam If required, switch on the steam using the steam switch. The amount of steam is automatically adjusted to suit the temperature selected., 5) Using the water spray For stubborn creases, use the water spray button. If using for the first time, you may need to press this a few times to pull the water through., 6) Steam boost Press the steam boost button for an extra steam burst for stubborn creases / heavy fabrics. NOTE: For optimum steam quality, do not operate the shot more than three times in succession. Great iron for your sewing room.
Perfect sewing room iron! Excellent steaming with a large water chamber. I was careful not to overfill and it does not leak. The iron heats very quickly, I kept the iron base near me on my right because Iโm right handed. During each pressing step when stopping to arrange the fabric I place the iron on the base, the iron is always hot and ready to use. The couple of times I forget to place it on the base, it cooled too much for pressing, but it heats very quickly. I am not sure how the iron would work when ironing large items; I can see how needing to place it on the base every few minimal may become aggravating, but for sewing I love it - no more cord getting in the way. The sole plate is very nice and does a great job steaming and smoothing. Iโll check in later with an updated review if I find any problems in the future.

Wonderful Iron
I've been sewing for zillions of years and an iron is an absolute necessity. I was so disappointed in the newer Irons I had purchased with their pointy tips and instability, impossible to read reservoirs, etc., that I went back to using my teflon-coated bottomed iron that I got in 1999 (I think or before). I had read that some people complained that there was a bit of condensation in the reservoir of this iron, but that's because the manufacturer tests each iron. I really like the shape - it's not too pointed like most of the more well-known brand irons are. It's also easy to read how much water is in the reservoir which is a problem I had had with other irons. I also like the fact that you can choose the settings - not just cool, warm, hot. It's well priced for the quality and does a great job ironing anything. It's not too heavy, it stands up fine with no danger of falling over, it doesn't automatically turn off after 5 minutes of non-use. It does a great job on shirts as well. I also really like placement of the holes in the bottom. Great iron and I definitely recommend.

Doesn't stay hot and leaks
Love the cordless feature but when I take it off the base, it only stays hot enough for about 30 seconds. Then I have to place it back on the base and it takes another 30 seconds to heat up enough to use. It also leaks on what you're ironing. I'm sending it back.

Gets very hot, comfortable to use
After using this iron for 6 months, Iโm very satisfied with it. It charges up very hot pretty quickly and holds the heat for a decent amount of time before needing recharging. I used to use another big name brand of cordless iron but after three that either started sparking, had pieces fall off or stopped steaming, decided to try a less expansive brand (this one). I get just as much ironing time, it has a nice pointed end for corners and a large sole plate that doesnโt seem to ever collect residue. I also like that it can be stood upright on its own if I need to reposition something, it doesnโt have to be on the base. My only minor complaint is that there is a learning curve on getting it back exactly right onto the recharging base. Itโs very specific for the connection and took awhile for the muscle memory to consistently set it down correctly the first time.

Cordless, fast heat time, works great
Love the convenience of it being cordless. Quick reheat time once docked. Works well for sewing projects too! Great price

Great idea but not exactly right
Doesn't stay hot very long, was hoping for the best but have to put on the base every minute. Purchased for a restaurant to iron table clothes. Had to buy one with a cord and extension instead. Hopefully the world will actually come up with a cordless iron that stays hot instead of just driverless cars in our near future.

Large water tank but requires distilled water
I purchased this iron mainly because of its tapered nose and because of the quantity of water it holds. I am a quilter and press many, many seams. The tapered front end is so much handier than my previous iron with its somewhat blunt nose. This tapered nose presses open even tiny seams easily! And this iron holds a great deal of water so that one is not having to stop frequently to refill the iron. Love that feature! There is a sticker on the iron stating that distilled water is required, unlike many newer irons that can use common tap water. I weighed this iron against my former iron, which had no liquid in it. My new iron, about half full of water was lighter. This is a definite plus for someone who has had rotator cuff surgery! I have owned this purple iron about a month. I still like the color; it is something different than the usual gray and blue. The iron has functioned perfectly, and there has been no sputtering nor any dripping. However, I'm not overly fond of the 8-minute safety shut off because the iron frequently shuts off between my sewing needs and my ironing requirements. Alas, I shall just have to speed up, I guess.

within 3 months the iron leaks
I have hardly used this iron and it's already leaking, hope I can still return this and get a different type of an iron.

Should have a cord!
You constantly have to put it back on the base and it cools too quickly.
