A few months ago, I started noticing that my hair felt dry no matter what I used. Between long days at work, air conditioning, and spending time outdoors, my hair seemed to lose moisture faster than I could put it back. I picked up this shampoo hoping for something that would clean well without leaving my hair feeling stripped. After a couple of weeks of regular use, I noticed my hair felt softer and looked less dull, especially around the ends where dryness usually shows first. The texture of the shampoo is smooth, it lathers nicely, and a little goes a long way. The scent is pleasant without being overwhelming, which is something I appreciate because strong fragrances can sometimes be too much. One thing that stood out was how lightweight the hydration felt. My hair felt refreshed rather than coated, which made it easier to style afterward. On busy mornings, I could wash, dry, and head out the door without feeling like my hair needed extra help. My wife joked that my hair was getting more hydration than our houseplants, and honestly, she may not be completely wrong. While I still think very dry hair may benefit from pairing it with a good conditioner, this shampoo does a solid job on its own. It delivers noticeable moisture, cleans effectively, and leaves hair feeling healthier without weighing it down. For everyday use, it has earned a regular spot in my shower.

I ordered this because it was a Wirecutter recommendation and it is excellent! It lathers and rinses well, and it leaves my hair feeling very silky, smooth, light and bouncy. The scent is light and floral straight out of the bottle, but it does not leave a strong scent on your hair. I have become disillusioned over the endless hype, and the wellness and virtue signaling of prestige products, not to mention the expense of trying them out and not finding them to be miraculous in any way. This one's a keeper. If they could make it look a little less like a bottom-shelf drugstore product, that would be perfect. The conditioner is good, too. You only need a little.

This is a great affordable shampoo and conditioner option. I have bleached blonde hair and it makes my hair feel so soft and smooth. It smells very good. I got my hair done and lied to my hair dresser and told her I’m back to using redken and she was like yeah your hair feels amazing. So that’s a win in my book lol.

I doubt I'll finish the bottle, I definitely won't buy it again. First, the smell. It's not bad smelling, but it's not my cup of tea. Sort of lightly floral. And just FYI, the conditioner and serum smell the same. In the shower the shampoo lathers well but you need a lot of it to accomplish that. The conditioner is just no good, my hair feels rough and frizzy even while still soaking wet. I've only used the shampoo and conditioner with the matching serum, so IDK how it goes without the serum. But on wash day, I love the way my hair feels, soft and sleek. However I don't want to shampoo everyday, and on day 2 and 3, my hair feels awful. The ends feel dry as straw, the roots seem greasy. I even tried using the serum alone on wet hair day 2, and a Dove repair serum on dry hair at bedtime day 2. Honestly it felt like the Dove serum could not even penetrate my dry ends. My search for a shampoo/conditioner combo I love continues. Update: I'm upping my stars to 4, although I'm still not positive I would buy this again just because I'm not super crazy about the smell of it. But turns out my super dry ends I was experiencing were because of something I was doing while my hair was dry before bed-----I was brushing it out which was causing frizz and making it feel dry. I stopped doing that and my hair now continues to feel soft and sleek right through to day 4 when I shampoo again (in case you're thinking, gross, she doesn't brush her hair for 3 days......no, I actually get my hair wet in the shower every morning even when I don't wash it, and because I have wavy/curly hair, I brush when it's wet). I do still stand by the fact that I don't think the conditioner feels like it's doing a good job in the shower, but maybe I didn't use enough? The greasiness to my scalp I think this is possibly TOO moisturizing for me, or else I need to switch to an every other day wash cycle. I will give this piece of advice: Do NOT listen to all those curly hair experts who tell you that you need to use super hydrating products (which is what products labeled as "for curly hair" are). I've been using products labeled as hydrating and I don't feel like my hair really does well with them. It's an individual thing and my wavy/curly hair does better with products labeled for normal hair.

I have used so many expensive salon and big name shampoos looking for one that deeply cleans and also gives my hair some volume without stripping it. And to think, the one I like best is under $4.00 a bottle! This shampoo lathers fine and gets my hair very clean. It gets rid of all my styling products and root spray and leaves it feeling soft. The conditioner of the same name adds amazing hydration and, together, they give me clean, shiny, and volumized hair that isn't weighed down or looking fried. I am really happy with this shampoo (and the conditioner) and I plan on using it for the foreseeable future. I haven't found anything better and I have been looking for decades. I have color treated, fine hair that gets weighed down very easily and can look pretty shabby if not babied. Although this shampoo is inexpensive, it sure doesn't perform cheaply.
