Excellent screen!
Pretty difficult to install and get lined up correctly with your short throw projector but well worth it! It looks like a normal TV.

Great screen!
We bought this with the Awol 3000 projector and we are very happy with our purchase! Good picture during the day with light coming in the window. It was tricky to put the screen on the frame. I suggest finding a YouTube video and having two people work together and do opposite sides at the same time.

Very Good ALR UST Screen
The AWOL VISION Ambient Light Rejecting (ALR) 100” projector screen (C100) for UST projectors is a very decent screen. It provides an enhanced viewing experience compared to a plain white screen (by rejecting ambient light from above). The 95% Ceiling Light Rejecting(CLR) design really does work. No measurement were made by me to verify the 95%. But the effect looks good. The AWOL screen assembly is good design, but I am not saying it is an optimal design. There are competitors to AWOL, but I don’t see that anybody has an advantage over AWOL. One real down side is that these screens are not cheep from any brand. It is necessary to assemble and install the screen before using. It is obviously not practical to ship an assembled screen. I suspect that it would be correct to say that to assemble and install this screen is not for the faint at heart. I would expect many people are not mechanically inclined enough to handle the task. A single person can complete an installation if they are skillful enough. The screen was delivered to me on July 25, 2024, assembly began shortly afterwards (a reference date for the assembly instructions that I received). There was an included instruction manual and an online YouTube video. This review is only going to point out issues that I had and consequently what I did. First, the included instruction manual was dead wrong in the horizontal positioning of the wall mounting brackets. For the C100, the upper wall brackets should be between 55 to 65 inches horizontally apart (my opinion). In my installation, I was fortuitously to have wall studs ~64 inches apart just where I would like to have them (screen centered at the desired position). I noticed that when the screen is hanging on the brackets, you can slide the screen horizontally a couple of inches for a final position tweak. The ability to slide the screen on the wall brackets for a few horizontal inches is a plus. During assembly process, I used the bare inner frame to check the locations and the installation of the wall brackets. This is before the ALR screen material is installed on the inner frame. That was a great idea from AWOL’s YouTube video. A couple of other assemble instructions were not optimal, but do work especially if you understand the intent of the instructions. I gave the AWOL VISION ALR C100 screen 4 of 5 stars. Because of the spotty assembly instructions, I subtracted 1 star. However, AWOL has a good support team, they will listen to you and not blow you off or forget to return your emails.

Great screen!!
You would think for the price this thing would come assembled. With that said, the screen is great!! I was so anxious to try it out. It's like looking at a tv. Great quality and the ALR works great. It did take me a couple of hours to assemble. Definetly a 2 person job.

ALR feature is oversold - not much different than regular screen
As others stated it is difficult to assemble. I usually dismiss that because I find things easy to assemble generally even when reviews state there were issues. In this case, the problem is that you need to have the same overhang of the screen on each side of the frame or the exterior frame pieces will not fit you and you need to start again. It was difficult and time consuming to do. The mechanical part of putting in a few screws was easy, but placement was time consuming. More importantly I don't find the screen to have a significant impact on brightness. I'm moving from a very bright long through 4K projector and traditional screen to a short throw AWOL and my prior setup handled light better so I'm a bit disappointed. This screen does lie flat on the wall well.

Incredible ALR
Not much else to say, this screen is incredible. It honestly wasn’t hard to set up, not sure if they have made improvements since the previous reviews but it’s like 16 screws, hand full of springs, and everything fit together perfectly. You can see from the picture with the lights on that the picture quality is amazing. That’s from an AWOL 3000 pro streaming YouTube TV.

The 100-inch screen is Amazing!
I love our new LTV-3500. The video quality is amazing! In our theater room we had a 75-inch Sony TV, and it was very good, but we needed something bigger, so after several months of studding the new Laser technology projectors I decided to go with the LTV-3500 from AWOL and it was the best decision we made. Now we have 100-inch screen, and it looks amazing. The LTV-3500 colors are so good. I could have gone with the LTV-2500 model because the room is completely dark, but I told my self lets just go with the best, so that is the reason we went with the 3500 model.

This is a premium product and priced as such. But if you're buying a UTS projector then you already know what you're getting yourself into. Setup isn't to be rushed. Take your time and follow the instructions carefully to ensure you align everything properly and don't have any inconsistencies in the screen. It's a good idea to clear a space larger than the screen before beginning setup. Picture quality is top notch for a projector screen. It's almost as good as a quality OLED... Almost. I think it looks best in a low light environment but the ALR technology will do a good job at making it look good in almost any environment.

I bought the 120" ALR screen for AWOL VISION AU Direct. This came from China and arrived on time. Unfortunately the screen material did come with wrinkles across. The seller gave tips to rectify but unfortunately they didn't work. They didn't hesitate and sent out a new screen material, which was flawless. I also didn't have to send back the old screen. The seller was always in contact throughout the whole process. Always replied within 24 hours but usually quicker. I was kept up to date, and they made sure I ended up with a product I was happy with. Shout out to Winni, who looked after me. The product itself seems well built. Good viewing angles, and makes the projector watchable during the day. Instructions are ok. They did offer a video call service in case I needed further help, but I never used it. The wall brackets are flexible enough to place, so should suit most wall setups. The brackets also allow for some adjustments, if you only put one screw in, so you can make sure your frame is level before putting the second screw.

We have a dedicated theater room on the lower level of our home and previously projected onto the wall painted with special paint from our 3D projector. It worked great but even low lighting would seriously detract from the viewing experience. This was a problem for our youngest who is 7 yrs old and gets scared having it completely dark. When I saw this projector screen I was pumped to try it out because it has a larger viewing angle and a higher light rejection percentage. The installation can be tricky on your own (at least for someone spatially-challenged like me) partially due to the nature of the build as well as the instructions not being great. Fortunately my cross-level laser and a second pair of hands were a life-saver. You absolutely must install this with proper alignment. I read through other reviewer's experiences and took careful notes. I used a large space for assembly (we have an open concept walk-out basement) and laid it all out to take stock of all the parts first. After reading the instructions on a dry run we then did the full assembly. As another reviewer put it "It's easy but not simple" and it really does require careful attention to avoid rippling. Once that was done it was easy to set up. I don't have their personal brand of short throw projector, I have a mid-level one from another brand. I would love to invest in one of their projectors but it's not in my budget just yet however I was still able to have a good viewing experience with the screen. It is crisp, clear and vivid but it still has a hint of projector look to it. Having said that this is the best home projector screen I have seen in person and it by no means is low quality. It is really a great screen and it will be coming to the new house in a few months. Note: once assembled I could not fathom trying to disassemble and re-assemble this screen so it will be transported in one piece (thank goodness for walk-out basements with high ceilings and double doors.) Overall an excellent investment if you have a dedicated viewing area and the right projector

I recently tested the AWOL Vision Ambient Light Rejecting (ALR) Projector Screen and it has truly transformed my viewing experience. This screen, designed specifically for Ultra Short Throw (UST) projectors, has brought a new level of clarity and vibrancy to my home theater setup. The assembly and mounting process was a bit tricky, but once completed, the result was absolutely worth it. The screen looks great and when combined with my AWOL Vision UST projector, the visuals are simply awesome. One of the standout features of this screen is its Ambient Light Rejecting (ALR) technology. This technology effectively resists the impact of ambient light, rejecting up to 95% of ceiling light. This results in significant improvement in image quality, providing contrast levels that are up to much better than standard matte white screens. This makes it an ideal choice for situations where there is a significant amount of ambient light. The screen is also equipped with the latest optimized lenticular material, which includes an absorbent layer and reflective layer. This absorbs 95% of overhead lighting for superior picture quality. The wide viewing angle of up to 170 degrees allows you to spread out while maintaining uniform picture quality, no matter where you are in the room. In conclusion, the AWOL Vision ALR Projector Screen is a fantastic addition to any home theater setup. It enhances the viewing experience by delivering high-quality, vibrant images, even in rooms with a lot of ambient light. Despite the initial assembly and mounting challenges, the result is well worth the effort. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to elevate their viewing experience.

[PROS] 👍 ✔Ultra video quality to allow a legitimate home theatre experience, I tested video using a mid-range project and my family was extremely satisfied with videos (tested Amazon Prime/Netflix streaming) ✔The packaging job is exceptional, the screen arrived in a large thinner box (I was expecting something massive) rolled up neatly with all the accessories and instructions organized ✔Set-up process was a breeze, you will just need to fit suitable space in your home because the screen is massive in size compared to a standard television [CONS] 👎 ✘Purchasing a separate higher end projector is not required however to experience the best image results it's something to keep in mind when they go on sale :) ✘After opening the box and unwrapping the screen, airing out the room for 48-72hrs is recommended because of a strong material smell [PRODUCT EXPERIENCE] ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 👉The AWOL VISION ALR Projector Screen (100" Fixed Frame) is currently priced as $1,850 at the time of this review. We removed our living room television (55" Samsung OLED) to make room for the projector screen. The plan was to set-up the screen the same-day however because of the smell, I moved the screen to our spare room and aired out the room for 2 days with an open windows - the smell eventually disappeared and thereafter, I resumed the initial set-up process with the projector screen. The process took me about 45 minutes because I had trouble balancing and required a mini latter to help ensure the screen is perfectly straight on the wall. We leveraged our Epson project (value about $650) for testing, but I do understand for the ultimate experience I will need a $2000-3000 high end projector down the road (too expensive - may black Friday special will bring them down in cost). The image/video quality is impressive, you really have to see it in person to appreciate this technology but it's extremely expensive when combing the cost of both the projector screen and projector itself. On the plus side, you will never have to visit a Cineplex theatre again :)
