This umbrella is the best. Before I purchased this I used a friend's while we were outside and it gave amazing UV/ sun protection in close to 100 degree heat. I loved it so much I had to buy it for myself! Its a great size (54in) and is nice and sturdy. Its easy to open and close and has a nice comfortable handle. It also come in a little cover with a strap on the side that you can comfortably hold on your shoulder. I now recommend this umbrella to everyone that I know.

People will be green with envy when you whip out this umbrella at the track meets! While they are roasting and trying unsuccessfully to keep the sun off their bodies, you will be in the shade from head to foot. Now, it is a big umbrella, so holding it for hours will be tiresome, but it’s better than looking like a piece of charcoal at the end of a long day. A plain umbrella is inferior because it won’t block out the sun or heat. This umbrella does the trick! It’s also a regular umbrella that works in the rain. Will come in handy for that unexpected or expected rain shower. It holds up well in the wind and I haven’t had it invert, but I do feel like it could turn me into Mary Poppins because it’s so big.So, if you are a coach or parent of kids who play outdoor sports, buy this now and keep it handy and you won’t regret it!

Good quality and really effective. Good grip and I like the carrying strap. It makes an enormous difference when I watch my daughter’s soccer matches. Other reviewers mentioned a fishy smell. I’m not sure I would have noticed it if I hadn’t read about it. Very faint, and only when I first opened it. I’m sure it’s just from the chemicals used for the reflective material.

Let me disclose that I have no spatial capabilities. You can put the measurements of something down, but unless I actually SEE it in person, I have a very difficult time picturing how big/small it is. I was hoping to get something that was big enough for both myself and my boyfriend when we went walking under the Texan summer sun. And it does a very good job of blocking the light! However, it's not really big enough for both of us...and worse, it's HEAVY. I'm not saying this is a reason you shouldn't get it, because I really don't think it's a bad product, but I'd recommend a regular umbrella size. As it is, I feel like I need to walk 5 feet away from my boyfriend so I don't poke him, since he's not all that interested in trying to squeeze under it (and who would want to, when it's already a million degrees outside?).I will say that the size I got is NOT something I'd be willing to carry around in my hand all day, but it blocks the sun really well, and the smell was really not that bad, so overall I think it's a pretty good product!

I got this for a school field day to reflect the Texas sun. I attached a fan to the handle and stayed cool all day. The reflection on top was great and the handle is easy to hold. I haven’t used it in the rain yet but as a sun umbrella it’s definitely worth the money.The pole is very sturdy and held my ryobi fan on it all day.The top was sturdy and didn’t blow around despite the wind and my fan.

It's a nice umbrella, very durable and built with quality. The UV protection is a nice feature and on bright/ hot days was very appreciated. Much bigger than anticipated, but that was a pleasant surprise.

Weighing in at just under 2 pounds, this golf umbrella has been a great choice for me. Mind you I have unbreakable umbrellas for a self defense item but for practical reasons, I find this to be a great alternative.It has an automatic open mechanism with a button.There are two straps to secure it. It comes with a UV material shield but I find it impractical to use it.The umbrella material is a waterproof reflective material that really works for keeping the sun rays off of me. I feel cooler in temperature when compared to my defensive umbrella which is black.It’s like bring a sunshade with me, wherever I go.The handle is comfortable. The umbrella is sturdy and the vents help with stability in wind.It works for rain, as well as harmful rays from the sun. It makes a great golf umbrella, too, because of its size. It is large enough for up to two or three people.Overall, I’m very pleased with it.Update Aug 2020It is still holding up strong. It keeps the hot sun off of me. The vents don’t really open with wind but it has not been damaged. I do find it to be heavy on my walks that last an hour. I ordered a more compact umbrella that is half of the weight to see how that changes.I have used this in the rain, and it is very effective.I have not had any degradation of the outer coating.It’s a durable, effective umbrella for rain or shine.

Great for hiking, as we live in a high UV environment, and anywhere you need portable shade. Can get a bit heavy, on hikes, particularly if it's windy, but I consider that part of the exercise. Strong but not indestructible. My original one survived about 5 years of occasional use but broke 3 ribs when blown off a table...and keep away from the broken rib ends as they are full of small splinters which are hard to both see, and remove. So not indestructible, but I liked it enough to come back for another; hope this lasts as well. Got a green one, second time around, which looks good on the inside, but other people will mainly notice the silvered outside.SMELL: Yes, this latest one DID SMELL TERRIBLE, as received, BUT that was EASILY CURED by tethering it outside in the sun for a couple of days, with no smell issues since.

This is the best umbrella!I chose it mostly to use it if I happen to be out in peak hours of the Sun where it can do most damage or if the heat is intense.It is so worth the money!It is so all weather resistant it is simply the best quality umbrella out there!

Use in my open boat with holder on hot sunny days. perfect.

I retuned it because it was so big!I got the 62 inch umbrella since it said it fits 2 people because I’m a bigger size and take some space, but I don’t think that this umbrella is meant to be used as a “hold as you walk” umbrella.Maybe good to attach to a golf cart or something like that, but definitely not for daily outings.And it did have a bad smell that needs to be aired out.
