The ingredient label mentions nothing about Vitamin D. This is an Omega 3 product. I take NutriGold Vitamin D3 Gold

What is the brown stuff on the outside of the pills?

I've been using this product for several years. I have never received any with brown spots. The gelcaps are always a clear pale yellow all the way through. Maybe check the date on the bottle?

Is these softgels 45% smaller than most? Or what kind is?

They are still large. Softgels yes. But I don't have problems swallowing it. Recommended by my cardiologist. Good balance of omega 3 and 6.
