It worked great for starting a fire

There is absolutely NO WAY you are making 20 pizzas from this tiny box of wood. This box of wood is <5lbs and is the size of a shoe box. The wood is nice, don't get me wrong. If you have a 12" oven, they are an okay size. However, you are fooling yourself if you think you can make more than 5 pizzas with this quantity of wood. Thats $10 per pie!!!!I have a 16" Karu, and the wood required to get the oven to temp is more than a 1/4 of the box. I now use this wood as kindling for my larger logs. To be clear, the wood is good, dry wood. BUT for the cost, you'd have to be crazy as you'll be burning through this wood, pun intended. If you have a larger oven, don't wste your time on these small logs. There are options that are much better value out there.

Pricey, but works really well. Does not make as many pizzas as advertised.

Was looking for wood for Ooni, and found this. The box you buy directly from Ooni is a way better value

Been testing out different pizza wood since getting my OONI for Christmas. While the Hot Box wood burns OK, it’s not worth the money and doesn’t stand up to other options available on Amazon. See the photos for reference.PROS: The packaging is nice and easy to open. It also has a pleasant smell.CONS: a lot of this wood is more than 6” long, which was frustrating considering they heavily market having wood that fits. The wood is also not uniform at all, and therefore not as easy to load/control the burn when working with a small firebox on an ooni. Maybe it was just my box, but at least 50% is bark pieces. There are several sticks that are clearly dirty, so I would consider it clean either. In the end the product photos and video don’t match what came in the box.

Product is clean, perfect packaging, and burns very smooth. Will definitely be a repeat customer. Sugar maple was oh so sweetly subtle :-)

I got my box about a month ago and have been using it just about every week since. If you are making pizzas at home and not using Hot Box, you're doing something wrong. The temperature is perfect and they last so much longer than other brands I have used. Highly recommend as I will only be using Hot Box Cooking wood from now on!
