I absolutely love these. Easy to install, easy to use, and no risk of injuring the birds. Ive never had any leaks. Ive dropped them since im clumsy and never had one break. These smaller ones are great in the brooder or in small pens. Worth the price because they have lasted me a long time so far. Ive had some of them for several years now. Even older models of this design. Hoping to try the larger ones soon!

This feeder is exactly what I needed for use in a dog kennel where I'm currently housing an injured chicken. She's a messy eater and tosses food everywhere using regular feeders. This feeder impedes her ability to fo that and conveniently hangs on the kennel wires. The kennel stays much cleaner and I can better monitor the amount of food she's eating.

May be pricey but it is a gr at product and I will buy again. All of their stuff is made with love thought and good quality material. No leaks holds enough for about two days with a lot of teen birds looks great and functional

I love the versatility of these feeders. You can connect it from the outside or inside of the pen. If on the outside it makes for quick refills even quicker if for example, you’re dealing with a grumpy rooster that you don’t wanna have to fend off while you’re refilling it. I wish there was a way to close it from the outside though there’s just a little black plastic thing that you can slide back-and-forth to let the feed flow for the birds to get or stop it. I wanna be able to close it every night and open it every morning in between refills. I may not be filling the food every day, but I’m still opening and closing different coops which sucks in frigid cold weather without gloves, but you can’t put gloves on with some of the latches and when you’re that cold, even a tiny rooster kicking or pecking, you hurts like hell. Update: I have an older version of the small water and these 2.5 pound feeders. Mine does not include the fancy Mancy slide lid though my new water does and I love it so much more than the old ones. My version of these feeders does not have that handy lead and they do come off a lot get dropped and dirty and it’s quite hellish. I had one brand new in the pack that I just opened and gave to a mama a bantam chicken with two babies that are about a month old maybe a month and a half the feeder is low about in between where both size of birds can reach, the food does not fall through. I tried both chick crumble And big bird food and I have to stick my hand in there and dig the food out for them every day I don’t have the fancy $16 wire bracket and I’m thinking maybe perhaps that tilt it just right so the fee comes out but currently the one I’m using is not making my life easier or more fun. ( the new 32 ounce waterer is an absolute godsend. You can flip the lid up or you can slide it off to the side and this new design edition is amazing.) I have the generic stretch springy clip, holding it against the wire and a couple of bricks underneath it to make it the right height for all birds but unfortunately, I have to keep taking the food out.

It worked really well at first, but now we’re very frustrated with it. We have baby chicks that are about 4–5 weeks old, and the feed keeps getting stuck instead of flowing down properly. Because of this, they aren’t able to access food consistently. We’ve had to listen for loud chirping to know when they’re hungry, and then manually push the feed down with a knife just to get it to the feeding area. We’ll be returning this and trying a different design. We LOVE their water dispenser, the food dispenser just isn't as high quality design.

I do think this was a little pricey for what it is, but it’s been great for our quail coop. They were wasting SO much food and we had attracted mice to their outdoor coop. This eliminated a lot of the waste and we notice a big difference in how much food we go through. I still think mice can get to it but not nearly as easy as an open trough style feeder. It was easy to install and it is easy to use.

The feeder itself is great, but I hate the new “coop clip” included. I have the wire hanger for a waterer that I thought I’d get and works great on the hardware cloth in our coop, but these hooks don’t fit the opening. So now we’ll have to use screws/washers, which I didn’t want to have to do, since now It’ll be harder to move/clean.

Hanging mechanism is garbage. Hooks do not fit through hardware cloth. Ended up making a hanger, because i like the feeeder

Bought for my quail. Easily attaches to their coop wire. Stays dry and easy to refill.
