These essential oil cones really work! They are now part of my morning routine to ensure a mosquito-free breakfast. The small ceramic dish gets very hot so I place it in a clay saucer for extra protection. I light the cone with a wind-resistant lighter, then place the saucer with lit cone under the dining table. The smoke wafts upward to provide a layer of protection from top to bottom. On very damp mornings after heavy rain, I apply an essential oil blend in carrier oil to my forearms and ankles to give extra protection—mosquitos love me. However, the cones alone are usually enough. They burn for about 20 minutes. I loved the product so much that I bought the 2.5 hour sticks by the same company. I use these in the evening when we’re outdoors longer for dinner and conversation. I appreciate a product that is natural and effective. Highly recommend!

These burn for about 20 minutes. They don't smell too strong. We use them on the back patio (not screened) to keep the mosquitos and flies away when we are sitting on the porch. They seem to generally keep them away. We do live in Florida, so nothing is 100 percent.

They were easy to light, didn’t smell bad. However the burn time seemed to be short. I have already used them up and re-ordered the stick type. Use them while grilling and really don’t like having to re light new ones to finish up. As you are cooking and having to touch them and then re-wash hands is a few extra steps I do not need. I guess they work tho, did not get bit.

We were burning candles, incense, the battery operated thing and these cones. The cones were the only things working but they last only about 20 minutes. Definitely a hassle to relight over and over. Pricey but effective. Wish they were bigger based on how quickly they’ll burn out. Nothing else worked though. We all got SOS instead to stop being bitten.
