Are these dishwasher safe? I received them as a gift and the instructions are in Japanese. Will they handle coffee/hot liquids?

Hello. Thank you for your inquiry. It is made of ceramic and we believe it will not be broken in dishwasher. However it is intricately shaped and colored. It might be scratched or partially discolored. It is mug cups so you can use them for coffee/hot liquids. If you have further question, please feel free to contact us. Thank you.

Are they microwaveable?

I'm not sure, I gave them as a gift.
