Preschool bakery play turned out wonderful with these Looks real durable- 3 months later and still great condition.

Adorable! Bought for my 10 yr tea set. The Candies, sprinkles and cream dollops are hard. Not great for toddlers and kids who put odd things in their mouth.

I’m torn on this purchase… because they are absolutely beautiful pieces with great vivid colors and squishy texture. I bought these to go with a play kitchen for my grandkids. The level of detail on each piece is amazing! Although each piece did have quite a bit of tiny decorative bits of “sprinkles” that easily shed, but they’re really beautifully decorated. The problem that is the deal breaker is that they really stink to high heavens! Hard to describe but some type of really strong chemical smell. And it’s On Every single piece! The value is good considering you get so many pieces for the price. But the strong odor makes you want to gag. I’ve taken them out of the plastic wrappers and hoping the smell might dissipate within a few days. I’m also worried about grandkids wanting to try to eat them because they’re squishy and look like real desserts. The realism would make it fun to play with but I’m worried about the toxic smell. It’s almost like what I’d imagine a plastic factory with strong chemicals might smell like. Not a pleasant plastic smell like with some children’s toys. But one that makes you gag. If the smell doesn’t go away in a couple days I’m returning them. I do NOT recommend them for children to play with. Maybe as a photo prop would be ok… I’m updating my review. I’ve now had the set for a week out of the package and the strong smell has finally (mostly) gone away. So it’s about 85% improved. They still have an odor that’s detectable if you sniff it. But nothing like when first opened last week. We literally had to open windows in the room to get it out. Do be mindful that toddlers will almost certainly chew on these squishy pieces and there ARE bits that continue to come off. But for kids a bit older like 5 yrs old on up, they are perfect to play with and look beautiful.
