Sizing is odd
The 3rd pair I ordered was the fit I needed. I was 10.5. The 10.5 I ordered had my feet swimming in them. Ordered a 10. Still, the 10 was too big. Ordered a 9.5 and they came in spot on. Perfect fit. And, with that I can say they're great. I've 3 other pair of Keens from shoe to hiker to work boot and all are 10.5. Go figure. Nevertheless these Brixen are break in free for me. Easy on and off. Pretty good support. I hiked all over Ireland in them and kept dry in drizzles to rain blowing sideways. Lugs on bottom are easy to clean and provided good grip except on slime covered river rock(totally came out from under me, should've known better). I'd buy em again when these wear out welcome 12/25/24- These have still been great for easy use( around house, walking, out n about). The initial trip with lot of walking/hiking proved themselves good. I am a tradesman but I'd never wear these on the job. They're just Not a Work boot, never will be, although they're right at home in a tractor. I don't care if they've the caution triangle on them or not- Def not steel or composite toe. I do use them a lot. Boots or dress shoes come off and these go on. Maybe I got lucky on the quality, maybe not but, I've no splits, seam breaks nor sole parts flapping around. I'd def buy again.

Some Of The Best Slip-On Shoes I've Ever Owned
I usually wear 11.5 wide (aka 2E), or 12 regular is a shoe isn't available in a wide size. But the only size I could find for this shoe in a brown color was 11.5 regular, so I gave it a try. Really glad I did, because the width and length are absolutely perfect, with just enough room to accommodate some really thick socks, so I'd say this shoe runs a bit on the wide side. The uppers are a bit on the stiff side, so they hurt my ankles a little, but I assume this will soften up with time. I vaguely remember that being an issue with most of my slip-on shoes when they're new, but since I only ever buy a new pair every 3 years or so, the memory tends to fade. The black part of the sole (the outer part) is VERY grippy, even on ice and snow. And the brown part of the sole (the middle part) is very supportive. That's a great combination that I hope will help these shoes last a looong time. The insulation is wonderful, I just got to test it out today in -15f weather, and my feet never felt cold... with very thick socks, of course. I'm sure the thermal in-sole has a lot to do with that, since it helps prevent cold from seeping in through the soles. These shoes look great and feel great. About the only thing that would make them perfect is CSA green triangle certification with composite (not steel) materials, but finding that here in the US is nearly impossible anyways. This is probably the next best thing. UPDATE: after about a day, the uppers stopped hurting my ankles. Everything fits great now. Love these shoes.

Excellent Quality and Fit but Break-in is Required
Excellent quality and fit but break-in is required. I bought these to have as a foul weather shoe to wear around camp and easily slip off when entering camper. They have amazing construction and will do the trick however, they arrive with an extremely stiff flex when walking, and very tight around the ankle. The ankle area is so tight, my feet felt like they were falling asleep while just sitting, even with thin socks on. The remainder of the fit is perfect. So, I realized the main issues come from needing to break them in. I grabbed some good leather conditioner, massaged it in to loosen the leather, then wore them around the house for a few days. Some extra tugging and massaging around the collar of the shoe, and they fit perfectly. With a bit of effort, I have a shoe that will perform as expected last a long time. I would buy them.

Keen Men's Brixen like having a brand new Mercedes for your feet
An Excellent Shoe, Bottom line: Size was a concern after I read many who said to order 1/2 size larger. I wanted to wear socks with this and have the 10.5 mens Keen sandals I love so, since those fit perfectly I ordered the size 11 shoe... Wrong choice, Too big, but with Amazon's forgive and exchange I was able to pop the size 11's in the box and send back with the handy printout label provided by Amazon. Within a few days, over the weekend, I had the exchanged size 10.5 which is really perfect. Okay, now to trying out the shoes, First off, the only complaint, and it is small, is the sides do hit my ankle bone too like someone else also said. The solution for that for me was to wear heavy socks, and over time the shoes will get used to the fact that I have an ankle bone right where the top sides of the shoes are. The shoes are flexible and are already giving in to that problem and I anticipate there will be no further issue over the next few days of time wearing them. The Best Part, and the reason I wanted these shoes is that they are liberally wide and strong on the bottom with tread like a Mac Truck. This gives me a good solid footing on winter ground conditions, rain, wet, muddy, - Let me tell you, I walk my dogs come rain or even worse weather and I'm out in it every day and often. These shoes are like having a brand new Mercedes for your feet. Keen Men's Brixen Lo Waterproof Insulated Shoe keeps my feet dry, comfortable and set apart from the elements. There is no bad weather, only bad shoes, and these are good shoes, the best. I'm happy as I have tried everything and the one's I like and still have a pair I alternate with the Keen's now is the Merrill slip on Waterproof Moc. I have two pair because I let each pair air dry in the house while I'm using the other pair. I've talked enough about these now, Get 'em, even if you have to go back and forth to get the right size. As I see it now, just get the size you are and that will probably be perfect, as it is for me.

Between Keen Slip Ons
I bought the Keen Brixen and the Keen Targhee III Slip on at Amazonโs try it before you buy. Although the Targhee III is easy in my ankles, the width on the toe box was too narrow for my wide feet and was just too tight overall. Perhaps, if Keen offer the Targhee III on a half size bigger it would be perfect for me. Cause the grip on this shoe is good. The Keen Brixen on the on the other hand had this grip on my ankles that did not feel right at first. But of course like any shoe, one has to wear it the whole day to make a decision. After a while I got use to the ankle grip of the shoe. Over all, this shoe is wider than the Targhee III and it feels like your wearing Crocs but more protection. Although the Targhee III has more grip on wet surfaces, I think you have to wear the Brixen for a day so that the rubber has time to kind a heat up for good grip. Personally, I work as a Dialysis Nurse in a hospital and Iโm always on my feet dragging large dialysis equipment and getting my shoe wet. So getting the sole of the shoe hot is never a problem for me. Additionally, my feet are not sore from working 18 plus hours in the hospital I work in. My two cents for two slip on shoes Keen offers is that if your feet is not so wide and you want the fit to be snug then go for the Targhee III. But if your feet are overtly wide get the Brixen. I guess, everybodyโs anatomy is just different. The Keen Brixen just works best for people like myself. As far as the durability, letโs see in 6 months to a year. Hope it does not give too soon especially I use this shoe everyday to work and during my off days. Over all Iโm pleased with Brixen but I wish that Keen had offered this shoe with orthotic insoles not the insulated heat thing that was included in the shoe. But I would definitly buy this shoe again. Just need to buy an insole for it.

Great shoes
Really good shoes. Will see how they hold up . Seem to grip good on slick, wet , Icy surfaces. Will see how treads and shoes hold up within time

Does what it says, but won't last
It's a decent shoe that does what it's supposed to - has a steel toe, waterproof exterior, and slips on and off pretty easily (but not accidentally). My reason for 3 stars and not 5 is the durability of the interior of the shoe. The heel is already wearing out completely after less than a year of use, and I primarily work indoors so it's not exactly a steel rolling factory in here. My feet are also starting to get sore if I walk in them too long, so whatever cushion kept me off the ground has worn away to a considerable degree. For the price I'm kind of disappointed they didn't even hold up 12 months. And before you ask if I had the right size, I tried three sizes to get the right fit and this was the one, for sure.

Great shoe, looks good, feels good
My third pair in 10 years, I'm physically hard on shoes and these hold up beautifully. Very comfortable, nice wide toe. They get better and better as you wear them.

Perfect and accurate size
Awesome shoes, size is accurate. I wear these in -15C with good socks and am fine, but don't go in deep snow!
