Great increase in difficulty
I purchased the classics book 2 to advance from the simpler pieces in book one. This book does not disappoint. There is a great step up in difficulty from the pieces in book one, and also more recognizable pieces as well, such as the Hall of the Mountain king. I am excited to tackle these pieces with my teacher. One problem I did have was that the book arrived quite bent, but I did not want to take a star off for something that was likely a delivery-related issue.

Lovely Simplified Arrangements of Classics
This is a wonderful book with simplified arrangements of the classics. It is perfect for adults and teens and any student who enjoys these beautiful pieces, but isn’t ready for the more difficult original versions. Every arrangement in this book can used as a lovely piece for a recital performance.

See photos for song content with descriptions. Most of the classics were unfamiliar to me but I have enjoyed playing them. I also have a Christmas book with Faber arrangements that I really like.

Great selections of classic pieces for absolute beginners
My expectations for this product were met perfectly. I am a beginning adult learner and the pieces range from very easy (the first few) to challenging (for my skill level) with pieces you can actually recognize, even in the very simple versions. It is encouraging to be able to reproduce at my own level songs that I know and enjoy.

Simplified classics; a wonderful find
Adult Piano Adventures Classics Book 2 This excellent collection of reduced piano arrangements is suitable for either the advanced beginner, or lapsed pianist working on rebuilding muscle memory, who prefer a classical repertoire to a contemporary one. There are 26 pieces ranging from Purcell to Debussy, on folio-sized paper. The grand staves measure 1 and 3/8ths inches, with 4 or 5 grand staves per page, so the scores are easy to read. Most pieces have only one sharp or flat, 6 have neither, and 3 have either 2 flats or 2 sharps. The Fabers have reduced the complexity, simplified the time signatures, and transposed keys to provide piano transcriptions accessible to students which reasonably capture the spirit of the original. This approach mostly works very well. (The Debussy notes are accurate but the time signature can be confusing. The original 9/8 is an easier read than bouncing between 3/4 and 4/4.) Purists won’t like this book, but people who want a tuneful alternative to Czerny exercises or Pop will find it both useful and appealing. Even to a dedicated Musescore user it looked like a reasonable purchase; I’d buy it again.

beautiful selection of arrangements
I'm an adult, learning piano at a slow pace for about 3 years. This book revived my interest in occasional practice. The pieces are beautiful classical selections and the arrangements are difficult enough to make me work at them, but easy enough that I can make progress.
