Nice jewelers loupe
This is a decent loupe. It functions as it should. It seems to be well made with no defects. I am able to see jewelers marks and inspect stones. I like that it came in a plastic case to protect it when not in use.

Great for reading small print on jewelry
I belong to a non-profit that sells old jewelry to raise money. This is useful for reading small print and determining whether something has an authenticity stamp. As far as I know, I have never discovered a light on this, so I don't believe it has one. But it is compact, folds to store in its own case and small enough to carry in a pocket without creating bulk, but not too small to lose.

disappointing
Only the center of the visual field was clear. Most of the surrounding field was fuzzy and out of focus. Could be my eyes, though I didn't have that problem with the Baush & Lomb lens I lost.
