I love this meat thermometer. It's simple, back to basics and it works. The numbers and lines are large enough to easily read, the appropriate meat temperatures are right on the front of the dial and the red, movable arrow which you move and place at the number the thermometer must reach for your meat, really moves and makes life easier. I had fallen out of love with these thermometers and was attracted to the fancier, battery operated ones. Forget it, I've never had one of those last any amount of time. Get back to basics with this "old fashioned" thermometer which doesn't need batteries and actually works. Dial is extra large, very easy to read and highly accurate. Highly recommend. Also, the price is right!!!

Works great. The red slider doesn't stay very well but it's not even needed.

These old school thermometers are wonderful! I got two in case one gets misplaced because when you need it, you need it now. I like the marker you can move on the face of the dial to help you see the temp you're trying to reach. I like how large the dial is and that it's easy to see. Very satisfied and appreciate not having to worry about a dead battery in an electric one when you need it!

These meat thermometers work great! They give quick, accurate readings and are very easy to use. They’ve made cooking so much easier, especially for grilling and making sure meats are cooked perfectly every time. Great quality for the price and definitely a kitchen tool I use all the time now.

Do not buy this. It is dangerously inaccurate and will lead you to overcook food. It did not register high enough on chicken I made when I knew it was cooked. I tested it in boiling water. Instead of showing 212 degrees, it only went up to 190 degrees, verifying that it is not accurate.

My second attempt at a non-digital probe and it was an abject failure. It lost the ability to measure the temperature after the first use. Steer clear.

Used this to make Lamb for Christmas dinner this year and we wanted to cook to internal temp not to times. This was perfect. Went in the oven with the meat, was easy to read and being able to set the little dial to what you need was great. Measured temps against my electronic one and it was spot on every single time. When needed I will buy again. But I don’t think that will be any time soon as also very well made and put together

This does exactly what is described. A bit off, but that may be the oven.
