Makes Cooktop Cleaning a Breeze!
Alright, so I recently started renting a house with a flat top stove and, let me tell you, I was dreading dealing with the cleaning part. I’ve always heard that these stoves can be a nightmare to keep clean. But then I found the Affresh Cooktop Cleaning Kit, and it's been a total lifesaver! The kit is super straightforward to use. It comes with a 5 oz cleaner and 5 pads that just make the whole process simple and efficient. You don’t need to be a cleaning guru to get your cooktop sparkling—it’s pretty much self-explanatory, which I love. As for the cleaning power? Top-notch. It tackles all the spills and spots without needing to scrub for ages, and it doesn't leave any streaks behind. Plus, cleaning up after is just as easy. A quick wipe down and you're done. And value for money? Absolutely. This kit doesn't just clean; it keeps my cooktop looking like new, which is great for a rental. Definitely worth every penny. So, if you're new to flat top stoves or just tired of products that don't deliver, give this kit a try. It might just change your kitchen cleaning routine for the better!

Works well, if you have the patience...
I own a KitchenAid Duel Fuel 30" Range. This oven was not cheap, around $4500. The cook surface is the black enamel, which are notorious for showing EVERY splatter. KitchenAid recommends cleaning this surface after EVERY use, but let's get real. Who on earth has the wherewithal to undertake that task? Not I. So, the inevitable burnt on food has now plagued my surface. Side note: I went through the exact same thing with a Viking Dual Fuel, Ugh. I tried everything, keeping in mind that theses surfaces are prone to scratching. You will scratch it if you use the Yellow/Green Scotch Brite sponge. I know, because I scratched my Viking. So, determined not to make the same mistake, I tried Simple Green, and other non-abrasive/non-toxic cleaners. The photo on the left was taken AFTER a thorough cleaning, believe it or not. So, after chatting with a KitchenAid Rep, she suggested Affresh. I have used the washing machine cleaner and it seems to be effective. I thought I would give this a try. Just finished. First thing you have to do is use the provided razor blade to remove any crusty material. Of course, this only will work on flat surfaces, not on the raised burner; up the sides, etc. Then you apply the cleaner, which reminds me of a liquid car wax. Working it in with the provided blue scrubbies, then letting it dry and buffing it with a clean, dry cotton towel. Just like car was, it leaves flecks of dried cleaner, which on a car you can just dust off, but on a stove, you have to figure a way to get it out of the nooks and crannies. I used a hand-vac. The results were less than perfect. You can see the second picture, there remains still a lot of build up. I'll give it a go again, but I have yet to find a product that will keep these cooks surfaces clean. Next stove I purchase will have a STAINLESS STEEL cook top. I have used many of those in the professional kitchens, where I have worked. You can go at those with steel wool and they develop a patina, but at least you can get all of the stains off. Update: I gave this product another go yesterday and really focussed on incorporating the razor blade. I spent a good amount of time carefully scraping the burnt-on food and then liberally applied the cream. I then used the supplied sponge and in combination with the razor blade attacked the surface. This is not an easy job and the user can expect to spend at least an hour of effort. When the cream is COMPLETELY dry, it's time to buff it off with a cotton towel (you will need multiple towels). As I said before, this process is exactly like waxing a car with Turtle Wax, except, you cannot shake out the rag in the kitchen, so I had my vacuum cleaner, with the brush attachment to suck up the flecks of dried powder. Every once in awhile, I would again need the razor blade to get up what I had missed. Buffing, buffing and more buffing. However, this time, I was 100% more successful. The results were excellent. (See third picture). I have completely changed my mind about this product. I didn't give it a fair chance the first time around and the results showed. IF you have the patience, and aren't afraid of using the razor blade, this product will get your cook surface looking like new. Recommended.

Good cook top cleaning product
We recently replaced our electric, glass-top cooktop. The original Jenn-Air cooktop lasted nearly 20 years and still worked great. So, while upgrading the kitchen we replaced it with a new Jenn-Air model and noticed the Affresh cleaning product recommended in the Jenn-Air cooktop manual. The product has three components: A bottle of non-scratch cleaning liquid, some blue scrubby pads, and a plastic scraper. We rarely let our cooktop get a lot of food mess on it, so we've not used the scraper (yet), since it is designed for removing any larger or thicker messes, prior to scrubbing the residual. The cleaning liquid reminds me of other "soft scrub" types of cleaners and the blue scrubby pad is a non-scratch nylon abrasive. Pretty simple to use and it doesn't take a lot of cleaning liquid to do the job. After scrubbing, just use a paper towel to wipe away the cleaning solution -- a little like waxing your car, since some of it is already dried and buffs off easily. The results are very good -- it is quite effective at cleaning up some tough stains that won't seem to otherwise wipe off of the glass. Please note: you can purchase the Affresh cleaning liquid separately, at a lower cost. However, I wanted the blue scrubby pads, so I purchased the whole kit. After success on our new cook top and inspired with curiosity, I tried to use Affresh on our old cooktop (now uninstalled) which had stubborn stains in some spots that had defied numerous cleaning attempts with various products over the years (Barkeepers Friend, Weinman's, etc.) These were some seriously TOUGH ones, to be sure. I only spent about two or three minutes scrubbing at the stains with Affresh and decided to give up. It seemed there was a very slight improvement, but not significant. Perhaps Affresh would remove much more of the stains had I been willing to continue to go over it and over it again. But, since it is an out-of-commission cook top, it wasn't worth the time and effort.

Glass Top Cleaning Kit
I purchased this cleaning kit to use on my new glass top stove. It works well enough but I find myself using the razor more than the solution and pad that came with it. You could just purchase a razor used for cleaning up excess paint that may get on baseboards when painting a wall just as well. The one thing to keep in mind before using any pan on a glass top like I have is to make sure the bottom of the pan is thoroughly clean. Before using a pan on my new stove top for the first time I scrub it with some comet to make sure any old cooked-on residue is gone so nothing from the bottom of the pan leaves a mark.

Buen producto

DOES WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO DO
Just follow the directions - works perfectly even on burned on sugary stuff that spills on the glass cooktop. Be sure to let the stove top completely cool before you start. Great product. Want to keep my new stove looking like new.
